It irritates me that there is this push for veganism.

You can't be a vegan. The concept was created in the 1850's in the UK. You're missing b-12 and god knows what else.

Entire societies have been VEGETARIAN - many Southern Indians are vegetarian, but there's never been a society that is vegan. Everybody that claims to be vegan is lying, or if they aren't, will die in a year or two. Most people are lying, either knowingly or unknowingly.

I don't know of any vegetarians or vegans who don't take supplements. You have to. Had a couple of these guys at a former job, and most Indians are vegetarians. None of them ever looked unhealthy.

You need a LOT of variety to have a healthy non-meat diet. It's possible, but not without supplements and heavy variety.

I was vegetarian for 25 years. I didn't need supplements. I ate quite a bit of cheese, eggs and beans though. I should resurrect my hummus recipe, I made mine with peanut butter instead of Tahini.
