Hey influencers, here is one of your final warnings…
If a company pays you to repost quote or amplify their content you must disclose it.
It does not matter if you are not selling a product or telling anyone to buy anything.
Under FTC rules payment plus amplification equals an endorsement.
Money, credits, favors future deals or coordinated messaging all count as “material connections”
If that connection is not clearly disclosed it is deceptive advertising.
You cannot hide behind reposts vague language or “just sharing.”
Both the influencer and the company are liable.
Trying to be discreet does not make it compliant.
It makes it illegal.
