What is a corny governor from MN going to say? JD is at least a Senator and close enough to DC to understand national and global politics/issues. He's just about my age so he will win the 35-50 crowd for sure. Probably even younger.

I think Trump picked JD because he can think on his feet like Trump can, but not outshine him. He's more vanilla. Walz is a governor of a relatively small state population wise. Being a senator in a more populous state is a bigger job. Plus you know the workings of the federal government better.

My prediction is Tim gets curbed stomped and looks stupid. JD won't throw digs, but he'll explain policy way better knowing it. MN politics is not national. That's why they didn't shuffle in Newsom even though I think they wanted it and probably still do. Too late.
