Vance is cool and smooth, Walz is more than a little nervous.

Technically speaking, the Veep IS a do-nothing politician by design. The situation with Joe Biden flying to Moscow and selling "Reset" to the KGB fucks was an anomaly, not a norm. They tried the whole "border zar" BS to lift her out of obscurity and pretend she's not an empty suit, not because the VP is supposed to be a "zar" of this or that. Now, of course, they are trapped and can't simply say that shit the voters are upset about is on Bidet, because see above.

The Veep's job is to sit on xer kister and wait until the POTUS kicks the bucket and meanwhile break a tie in the Senat now and then.

VPOTUS debates are even more fluff than POTUS debates. They definitely don't impact the election.
55   RWSGFY   2024 Oct 2, 8:43am

Can't say I disagree, LOL.

She's the tie breaker in the Senate on votes. So technically a Senator with it being tight between parties. Kind of a big deal and can become POTUS.

She did nothing and most do nothing. But it's a more important role than you'd think with how perfectly divided we are. That's why Trump was campaigning out in Bozeman, MT for a Senate seat. It's a red state he'll win, but that's a huge Senate seat if they win it. If there's a 50/50 split in the Senate, Vance is the deciding factor.

I don't think conservative realize the outcome and aftermath of it. If Kamala wins, we're literally fucked. I'm not going to pull the Dem bullshit that I'll move somewhere else, but this is the most important election in my lifetime. She cannot win. Vote Vote Vote.

I'll be in Mexico, so early voting for me. Probably not the best timing, but whatever. I'm still getting a vote in even in a deep blue state. With a ton of blacks that I think are shifting red. I think IL is more purple now than it has been in the past. Not a swing state, but an IL surprise wouldn't shock me one bit. Black people don't like fake black. I also don't like illegals. Even Latinos born here don't like illegals and they're coming of voting age.

I'll eat my words. Trump will win MN, WI, MI and PA. Even just 2 he wins. Call it sexist, no one is ready for a woman POTUS. Definitely not this one. I'm a news junkie but I see nothing on Harris. She just doing private fundraiser or any rallies she bussing people in. I take my car, right? They're just grabbing people off the street and tossing them a meal and $50. That's her campaign.

He actually said this: “I’ve become friends with school shooters.” The Vice Presidential Debate flashed across CBS last night, closely watched by political partisans, and completely ignored by everyone else. The tone was civil and noncombative; the moderators were not allowed to ‘fact check’ anyone; and the corporate media seems unable to pick a ‘winner.’ It was Vance. Vance won.

https://nitter.poast.org/KamalaHQ/status/1841299880603513202

J.D. Vance won the debate because he is wicked smart, well-spoken, and was unburdened by the necessity of pretense. He could just be himself. Walz carried the burden of two different jobs last night: he had to debate Vance, but at the same time he also had to pretend to be a living cartoon of a folksy, rural conservative Democrat instead of a marxist tool who’s been to China over thirty times.

Walz’s China fetish procured one of the many laugh-out-loud moments last night. Headline from USA Today, last evening:

Walz on claims he was in China during Tiananmen: 'I'm a knucklehead at times'
Riley Beggin
USA TODAY
Published 10:41 p.m. ET Oct. 1, 2024

The boring backstory is that Walz lied about being in China during the Tiananmen Square massacre. It only became news when somebody found some old newspaper reports putting Walz at home during the event in question. After one of the CBS moderators asked Walz to explain the discrepancy between his claim and news reports about him being in the US during that time, Walz gave a little speech about his China policy.

To her credit, the moderator didn’t let him get away with it, and pressed Walz to answer the question. Walz folded. He basically admitted he lied. "I have not been perfect,” Walz explained, “and I'm a knucklehead at times."

A “knucklehead” is one way of putting it.

But that wasn’t even close to Walz’s worst moment. Ultimately, it wasn’t hard to pick, though his claim that “abortion is a basic human right” was a close second place. But Walz claimed the top knucklehead prize after being asked why he opposed assault weapons bans before he supported them. Walz then said this:

"I’ve sat in that office with those Sandy Hook parents. I’ve become friends with school shooters… This idea of stigmatizing mental health; just because you have a mental health issue doesn’t mean you’re violent. We end up looking for a scapegoat. Sometimes it just is the guns. It’s just the guns. And there’s things you can do about it."

What? Sometimes, it’s just the guns? The guns do it? Are the guns hypnotizing people? Was Walz talking about some newfangled, high-tech, AI-driven DARPA autonomous weapon?

At the same time Walz was arguing for some kind of gun control for regular citizens, he also seemed to be arguing for giving crazy people easier access to firearms to avoid stigmatizing them. You can’t make this stuff up.

Whatever squirmy misfire in Walz’s cranium caused him to give that fruity answer earned the gaffe of the year award. Touché, brain worm.

I suppose the moral of the story is: pick replacement VPs for your selected VP in haste, and repent in leisure.

Soon, Walz will be campaigning from the basement like the rest of the faux candidates.

I don't think it moved anyone in my rural area. Hopefully urban areas. Likely young votes as I think people are sick of geezer running the show as they die off. Walz and Kamala are both old.

JD did well even though I'm not particularly fond of him. It's like the movie Step Brothers, I just want to punch him in the face, POW!. He was calm and cool. He was the opposite of Trump which I think was the point of the selection for VP. But I still want to punch him. I like him being younger though.

Trump has had 4 years to think this through. Kamala has had 3 months with no votes. If this isn't a landslide this is blatant cheating at this point.
65   WookieMan   2024 Oct 2, 11:26am

JD was more personable. Outside that it was mostly a dud. I keep hanging on to the school shooter thing from Walz. We all legit, not a joke or lie, spit our beer out. And Walz just kept going like nothing happened. He didn't know what he said.

I think he has early Biden syndrome.
66   Ceffer   2024 Oct 2, 12:24pm

Jacked to the gills on MKUltra stimulants, as the original KamalaToe. The original KamalaToe's speech problems are likely brain damage because she needed excessive juicing for built in hysteria. KamalaToe has officially graduated to avatar immaculate, who knows WTF happened to the original.

Tampon Tim is likely not used to the cocktails yet. He's a Jabba without the charm. Euphoria of sycophantic sociopathy to pending crash. Guess the MKUltra didn't perfect the harmony of the speech centers yet. He was an emergency case due to the VP selection and wasn't pimped or groomed enough.

It's interesting how they select according to some absolute standard of perversion and Freemason sociopathy. Illuminati wars are interesting.

2) Seniors outvote young voters 4:1. In some areas, much much higher.

True. But there's more of them at this point. Kamala loses the male vote for sure. I haven't talked to a 50+ man or hell even women that intends to vote for her.

I believe you're out CA way. IL is the cold CA with the same politics. I've never seen more pro republican signs ever. By a long shot. Used to be 1:4 it's now 20:1 R:D. Even when Trump won in '16.

IL or CA ain't moving. But the swing states are no longer that. The only way to steal the election would be Texas. I'm not seeing that. That would be the only possible route in my opinion. Otherwise Trump is POTUS again.
70   Ceffer   2024 Oct 2, 2:24pm

I think in Santa Cruz the Harris vs. Trump signage is about 5 to one. However, there aren't very many of either maybe one per 15-20 households around my hoods. I am shocked there are people in Santa Cruz who will put out Trump signs, for it is an invitation for psycho purple hairs to throw a molotov through the window, or, at the very least, do some kind of property damage.

The crazy gay German communist down the street is really so nuts he is capable of bodily physical harm as much as property.
71   AmericanKulak   2024 Oct 2, 4:03pm

Vance gives me hope there is MAGA beyond Trump, and not more Boehner-Ryan Budget Busting Mass Migration Enabling.

72   Tenpoundbass   2024 Oct 2, 4:18pm

Vance was way too comfortable on the J6 narrative, for my liking. He didn't bring up Pelosi bragging how she arranged it, on a video while it was going down. The Feds mixed in the crowd agitating and stirring up trouble. The cowardly judges that refused to even hear the cases on their merit. So they hid behind "no legal standing". There was so much he could have said about J6 and the stolen election but he took it on the chin. While distracting it gracefully to make his own points which he did masterfully. But to call him a MAGA stalwart on the horizon, would be a long stretch.

He's a moderate Republican, but he's from the political cloth. He doesn't believe politics should at a point where your average voter is as in tune to politics, and has specific agendas for sending in candidates and putting America first. He has prepped his whole life for the political analysis consultant candidate class that gets a steady flow of cash for his services. His service is not for MAGA it's for political class prestige and honor. Will he serve under Trump with honor?
Who knows, at this point everyone was just as gushy over Mike Pence. Look how that turned out.
He might serve Trump honorably and not stab him in the back with other RINOs and TDS hucksters. Then he'll usher Trump away after his final four year term. Get the anointed choice, and then try to go back to late 80's to late 90's everyone go along to get along politics. Two parties giving populist rhetoric while getting rich awarding corporations Lords and Viceroys of industry and tech.

He would have been a great choice in 2016 if Trump didn't run. He might have at least brought us back to the Bush Jr. Era before 9-11 and the housing bubble.

Yes but my point was someone like him would have been a better option than anyone that ran against Trump in 2016.
My issue with him any elected Republican that was bemoaning Trump from the time he stepped forward to now. Is only doing so out of self preservation of the establishment. There's been several Republicans that has tried to brand themselves as a MAGA alternative, they all hate Trump. And most of them has voted with the Democrats when they were doing their worse to America and Trump.

You don't walk back from that and say "I'm a Trump supporter now." and expect it to mean a MAGA supporter.

The first and only debate between Vice Presidential candidates JD Vance and Tim Walz wrapped last night and it was glorious.

Aside from Tim Walz looking like a deer in headlights, JD Vance mopped the floor with him, leading to some embarrassing moments from Tampon Tim, some of which were predictably self-inflicted.

I was determined to make sure that Tim Walz’s failures, lies, and fumbles were exposed for all to see.

To start it off, I highlighted how JD Vance crushed Walz over the fact that under Donald Trump, there were no new wars, Israel wasn’t under attack, and Russia wasn’t invading Ukraine.

Yet under Kamala, who has been in office for 3.5 years, various armed conflicts have sprung up around the globe.

Next, when Walz attempted to attack JD Vance over Springfield, Ohio, the moderators stepped in to help Walz and “fact-check” JD. However, JD Vance called out the moderators for their fake “fact-check, crushing both NBC and Walz in one fell swoop.

This is when Walz started to completely fall apart. He was asked whether or not he was in China during the Tiananmen Square protest (NEWSFLASH: He wasn’t).

As he fumbled through his non-answer, I swiftly exposed the fact that it was reported that Tim Walz was in Nebraska at the time, not in China. ...

Yet, one of the biggest moments of the debate I exposed was when Tim Walz said “I’ve become friends with school shooters.”

You heard that right…

Tim Walz actually said that he had become friends with school shooters. I made sure to carefully document this quote through a collection of clips, memes, and graphics so that the radical Left will never forget who they nominated as Vice President.

As long as Tim Walz continues to lie to the nation, I will be there to expose him at every turn. The mainstream media will do everything in their power to cover for Tampon Tim and Cackling Kamala. With your support, I won’t let them drive their fake narrative down the throats of the American people.

Let’s keep spreading the truth together!

There was one objective for JD Vance last night: introduce himself to American voters who only know him through the media they follow. They’ve heard he was “weird.” They’ve seen memes where he called women “childless cat ladies.” They’ve seen one picture after another demonizing, mocking, and attempting to invent a cartoon character of their version of JD Vance. In other words, they’ve dehumanized him.

Well, they all have dripping, icky, rotten egg on their faces today after JD Vance’s masterful debate performance, one that will easily make and define his political career and go down as one of the all-time best debate performances in history.

So yeah, the Democrats should probably be very worried about JD Vance, not just for this election but for the MAGA of the future. Trump chose wisely.

Vance has learned a thing or two from battling a hostile press. Walz has avoided them and it showed last night. He did what Biden did - he stared with a terrified look on his face as Vance spoke.

But for Vance, there isn’t a nasty question he hasn’t already had to answer at least ten times. If you’ve been watching his press conferences as I have, you already know he can handle them. He was born to do this. You can tell when he’s about to give a really good answer because he blinks very slowly to show he’s tolerating their terrible question as he locks and loads.

But it wasn’t so much how he batted the moderators around — always a fun thing to watch — but how he directed his message straight at us, those watching at home. Did he change any minds? He might have, especially among women voters who have only seen the media’s caricature of him.

The phony focus groups that they aired immediately afterwards in an attempt to do damage control showed the debate made them more likely to vote for Walz but I don’t believe that.

What mattered most was that JD Vance showed up as the guy so many people know, not the guy the legacy press has been lying about all year.

As I ruminated on some of the things that bothered me that Vance didn’t mention, I realized just how adept he was at keeping the focus on the issues. For instance, Tim Walz had one good moment when he mentioned the 2020 election and January 6th. JD Vance sidestepped answering the question.

At first, I thought he should have hit back on that. He should have brought up Tim Walz’s failure to protect Minneapolis. He should have brought up the violence all through that Summer. And he should have defended the protesters on January 6th. That’s what I would have done.

That is their best selling point on the Left and will be one of the key issues for undecideds - that voters will punish Trump for that. And it’s best to let voters decide whether they thought Trump was out of line to protect the election. But we’ve gotten a massive thumb on the scale with the DOJ going after Trump, not to mention the phony January 6th show trial.

But I didn’t think Trump was entirely out of line. Some of what he said wasn’t true, but he had a right to protest the unfair treatment of him before, during, and after his presidency, as did his supporters. That’s what we do in America. We get mad, and we protest. They allow that only from one side. And it’s wrong.

Our government did not have the right to turn it into a “Reichstag Fire” to grant themselves absolute power.

I could go on and on about January 6th, but I think Vance left it alone because he didn’t want to give the media any sound bites, energy, or juice that might distract from everything else he was saying. And that impressed me all the more.

Unfortunately for Trump, he showed up in his debate with Kamala Harris as the guy the media said he was. Trump is easily triggered, as anyone would be considering, but that’s what gave Harris the upper hand. Vance decided not to give that to Walz.

I was thinking about JD Vance and Trump, and I realized that Vance now has the father figure in his life that he never really had growing up. His affection for Trump showed through last night and always does. He has such a forgiving heart, which America needs right now.

I’m glad the public had a chance to see the real JD Vance, even though they all have a new favorite word to use to try to diminish some of his power, “slick.” JD Vance wasn’t “slick,” but the word went out, and the machine gobbled it up. ...

Debates Don't Matter:

Very few people are left undecided in this election, and I am skeptical that the VP debate truly moved the needle for any significant number of people. At this point in the cycle, the people who are going to vote for Trump are going to vote for him, and the people who aren't are not. The same goes for Harris. Something drastic would have to happen for any significant swing in the votes.

It is a shame that this debate mattered very little because it is the best one we have had in the past eight years.

I hung last night and all the guys there watched it. Ping pong.... I'm a child man. They're not as political as I am. I'd bet half of them don't vote, but most watched it or clips of it. Vance and Walz are not household names unless you live in those states. I think people were interested.

JD was calm, cool and collected. The Walz school shooter thing is going to burn him, well Kamala. Joe Biden not knowing how to talk and we know he's senile is way different than the school shooter thing. That's kind of beyond a gaffe.

At the end of the day I don't think Americans want a woman POTUS. Then factor in age. Younger Americans around my age and under want fresh blood. That debate I think did that. He's basically 20 years younger than anyone running for POTUS or VP and is a US Senator. At 40. That's not an easy gig to get.

What I think it did is invigorate people that might not normally vote. Is that 1/2 a point or 3? It was a net gain for a Trump vote in my opinion. Independents decide elections. D votes D and R votes R 100%. My House rep is a D, female and I will be voting for her. I will vote for Trump. I'm a classic independent. I vote with who produces what they say.

I respect women, but I don't think they're meant to lead nations with 330+ million people. Run a military. In business women very rarely succeed at running or even starting a company. They can be bitches, but you have to be an ass hole. That's where men thrive. Men laugh at mean bitches. Women are supposed to be nurturing, take care of kids, etc. They can work and they can do well. Lead? Not so much. Call it sexist, I call it biology and science.
