Sorry Big Tech HR Girls and CEOs.

Nobody is buying the bullshit that lowering H1Bs will stop the next Werner von Braun or Einstein from being scooped up by the USA.

Everybody knows Raj probably doesn't have the 1-2 year nonname, fly-by-night Mumbai tech schoo degree. I suspect most couldn't pass a basic Linux Foundation or COMPTIA Core Test. You just want them because you don't have to pay them unemployment, work them 50-60 hours for 40, and that 40 at less than having the job done by an actual basic certified American (much less a CS degree from any university or college).

We have a visa for real world-class researchers, it's the O-1 Visa.

American born and trained engineers are substantially better. One friend is retiring in January. He's got nationally recognized projects in road building.

The Hoover dam is just cool though. Been there about 5-6 times. Did the tour inside as a kid. Was there when the new bridge was being built. I can't even comprehend the engineering behind that build. Needed to be done though. I wasn't driving, but I can at least say I rode across the top of it in a car.

Aren't most H1B's tech sector anyway? I haven't met a infrastructure engineer from India or China. I know one Asian in that field, but he's an American citizen.
23   gabbar   2024 Dec 30, 5:36am

This cannot be America, this cannot be happening in America, no American can participate in this and call himself/herself American. If President Trump cares (he has already spoken in support of H1B), he should shut down H1B on January 20th and then revisit the program with Elon, Homan, Vivek etc.

Tons in biotech. They can work as academic slave labor, but are always trying to get industry to sponsor them for a better paying job. Industry does not need them. There are plenty of qualified citizens looking for work.

If white man is unemployed, He won’t be able to afford kids.. resulting in white population decline.

Also drugs will become common.

HinduSwamy trying to hide white replacement by Hindus under the carpet.

But comments suggest that white people know this conman well and his grift won’t work.

The root cause of America’s working class struggle is actually the federal government itself. Regulators hurt the very people they’re supposed to “protect.” Downsizing the federal bureaucracy won’t just be a civic achievement, it’ll be an economic blessing for U.S. workers.👇

Vishal Garg, the Indian American tech CEO of better(.)com, simultaneously fired 900 American workers over a group zoom call.

Indian newspapers gloated he replaced them with 1000 employees hired in India.

How will young Americans move up the ladder if the jobs are all in India?

https://x.com/jeetsidhu/status/1873626330333630942
tl;dr Indian calls American “racist” to avoid the facts of the H1B scandal:

- Indians are ~75% of H1B visas
- Indians undercut US tech worker wages
- Tech jobs grew 20% from 2014-2019 but wages rose only 3% 2014-2019 (no labor shortage)

methinks the lady doth protest too much

Nope. Because there isn't just a defined concentrated 'tech sector' anymore.

Like IT. H1B visa abuse is rife in an average non-tech sector firm's IT department. Famous case was a bunch of Disney parks IT folks forced to train their H1B replacements then shit canned.

There are IT departments in agriculture, retail, real estate, etc. now. And they all abuse the H1B bullshit.

The historical parallels with Roman plebes getting the can after Roman elites flooded the country with skilled slaves (nobody gave a rat's ass about the unskilled labor coming in - not even the plebians) are amazing to what is happening today.
33   DOGEWontAmountToShit   2024 Dec 30, 9:41am

BTW, the 13th Amendment banned indentured servitude as well as slavery.

Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

And the H1B relationship is classic indentured servitude.

Most Indians are smarter dirtier versions of Hispanics but for tech sectors. Lowering wages across the board, then only bring in their own kind with their own culture.

It's straight up exploitation on all sides and needs to end.

The reason you are saying that you may have never traveled to India.

With all its drug lord problem Mexico is still 10000x better than Hindu India.
Hindu is desperate to leave. The only problem is their supremacist junk which made India a shithole travels with them to west.

I looked it up. Legal definition of indentured servitude is a contract to work for a single employer for a predetermined period without pay.

They are paid, so they are not IS.

Likely lying. Depends on the work as well. I'd have no problem sitting at a computer or talking to people for 80 hours a week. I did it. Life is miserable and you get burned out mentally. A blue collar job, hell no. Not happening outside of a one off week during a job deadline. Your body would shut down if you did that for 4-6 weeks. Something like concrete labor.

Indians as far as H1B are weird though. They'll just work 12-14 hours, but talk on the phone all the time. I can't recall ever going into an Indian run gas station where they weren't talking on the phone with someone. Usually on speaker. I'm guessing it's the same in IT/tech with them. Ear buds in just talking to one of the 1B plus buddies back home.

This is what I've heard from several IT managers in the 90s and 2000s. They spend at least half the time on the phone, probably getting instructions from their cousin back in South Asia how to do the job they were hired to do.

Dislike unions, but apprenticeships are the way to go. At the end of the day you have to do the job. I don't need to know about Anthropology if my goal is to be an engineer. While an interesting topic, it does nothing to advance civilization or our nation. I can just read that in my free time.

College should be two years industry related. Instead of 9 hours bull shit and 3 hours of what you majored in, just do 12-15 on the field you want to get into. Get through the pipeline faster so you can do what you want and help grow the economy in some fashion.

Easy in CA: start with 2 years in community college (essentially free if living with parents) and then transfer to one of the less prestigious UC or CSU schools (like UC Merced or Cal Poly Humboldt) where you'd pay less than $40K per year, room and board included.
