Of all the people who have suffered from H1B discrimination, WHY HAVEN'T YOU CREATED YOUR OWN JOBS? You have had a MASSIVE opportunity to create businesses. One of the best at this moment in time (imo) is SAAS. GET ON IT!!!!!!!!

SAAS catchy buzz words, can you list one example of what you think a Software as a Service would be so marketable without a customer.

This type of software design is part of a bigger enterprise. That on demand cloud service, opens the companies software in small areas to the workforce over the internet. Without compromising their local network infrastructure, from being hacked and attacked. Let the Cloud company hosting the SAAS deal with the attacks. Meanwhile invoices and POs can continue cranking out back at the ranch.

As a consumer customer, I wont buy any prescription based software. If it's not a lifetime license on a local computer I installed it on. Then I wont buy it. I will pay $600 for Cubase to install on a computer, or $1200 for a developer suite. But I would never pay even $20 a month for it. And not have access to it, unless I was connected to the internet.

I'm sure it's lucrative but I can't make software I don't believe in.

SAAS is Toyota giving a free trial for a key fob that starts a car engine on a $65K car that they take away from you months down the line unless you pay a subscription.

Fuck that.

I will never buy a SAAS product.

Sounds quaint. FWIW, SAAS doesn't have to be subscription based. I own an SAAS and I don't get paid unless/until my users get paid. I get a small cut of every transaction on the site.

You don't have to be immoral to own/build an SAAS. There are win/win opportunities. Maybe coders aren't business people? Is it that simple? I know an SAAS that was recently sold for $35,000,000. Guess who the founders are? They're Realtors who pooled their $$ together and hired a team of people to create the SAAS for them.

I promise you there are many more opportunities out there. Is anyone willing to forgo a salary to take a chance? Very few. No, most want to come out of college and make the BIG $$$. What happens next? Yup, marriage and debt. Debt, stay away from it.

I recently hired a marketing consultant. She is a long time business guru(?). She does everything from drawing up business plans to raising capital. She showed me a company she raised $30,000,000 for. The site brings buyers and sellers of chemicals together. She considers it an SAAS.

I don't think I understand your question but, why would anyone build an SAAS if they didn't think there would be any customers for it?

9 out of 10 startups do not make money. Business skills I guess are orthogonal to engineering even though they look trivial.

Almost any industry could, and does, benefit from some type of SAAS. Isn't Uber an SAAS? How about OpenTable or Door Dash etc. They aren't just Adobe anymore.

I worked a lot of sales jobs when I was a kid and have run multiple RE side businesses. I pick biotechs to work for based on their business prospects (some having panned out well others not so much, it's a difficult space with a lot of overhead) and software dev just came naturally due to the fact that I'm a molecular biologist. DNA is code.

I've seen your posts, I'm sure you're honest and all and also correct but too many companies use it to fuck customers for an extra $ so no thanks.

There are definitely some unscrupulous companies out there. There are 3 successful companies I know of in the RE space where customer service is almost non existent. Seems crazy to not have at least satisfactory customer service.

Wow. Maybe the Faber pencil company can claim ownership of sketches made with their product.

In a now deleted tweet, an Indian-American conservative journalist gloats about “white” people being replaced

It turns out they’ve been best friends for at least a decade… is anyone else noticing this?
