Social media investigators have pointed out, and it’s a fair point, that nobody ever saw Livelsberger alive before the Cybertruck blew up. It detonated before he could get out, as soon as the car reached the curb in front of Trump’s hotel. In theory, a Tesla Cybertruck could be operated by remote control, although that isn’t a standard feature. So, again in theory, Livelsberger could have been dead before the vehicle arrived. There’s no evidence to support this theory, and there never will be.
Well, maybe that’s not quite right. Matt’s special forces and military intelligence background ensured he could have planned a much more sophisticated attack than this botched bombing, an amateur effort that went nowhere, not least of all because of the Cybertruck’s durable stainless steel construction, which appears to have contained much of the force of the explosion and limited the worst damage to its occupant. ...
The Trump-Musk connection —Tesla Cybertruck bombing a Trump Hotel— seems overtly politicized, a deliberate statement for this precise political moment. Like failed Trump assassin Ryan Routh, apparently Matt Livelsberger was involved in helping staff Ukraine with foreign mercenaries. I hope that the first lesson of the Bourbon Street massacre is not lost on you: There is no end of opportunity now for Jihadis and other maniacs to attack soft targets across the land. Americans are sitting ducks. And there is no shortage of jihadis and maniacs at large in our land, thanks to “Joe Biden” and Alejandro Mayorkas.
Do you have any idea how much carnage can be created with what are called small arms, meaning, light weapons, guns, rifles, grenades, and improvised explosives used tactically in public places by enemies of our country? It looks like we are going to find out. And just regular motor vehicles, too, as in New Orleans and Las Vegas. Among the millions of foreign vagabonds ushered across the border illegally are perhaps tens of thousands fanatically avid for mayhem, many of them surely organized into cadres trained to carry out atrocities, just hanging back with their US government-issued debit cards, enjoying DoorDash deliveries in their government supplied hotel rooms, waiting for the signal to activate themselves. ...
Of course, a pardon will signal that Liz Cheney is, ipso facto, a criminal. And would “Joe Biden” then have to pardon every member of the J-6 Committee — since, being a conspiracy, are they not all culpable for the same crimes? But then, the J-6 Committee crimes against the people of America comprise only a small portion, a side dish, to the many other crimes committed by the officials working under “Joe Biden.” If he pardons Liz Cheney, won’t this president also have to pardon hundreds of other officials from Mayorkas, Wray, Garland, Fauci, Walensky, Austin, Blinken, Sullivan on down?
“Joe Biden” will no doubt wait until the morning of January 20 to issue those pardons, if he dares to, and he might well include himself in the package as having committed bribery and treason. Since his dementia is not total, he probably has enough brain left to reason fallaciously that the country will be too distracted by the Trump inaugural to notice what he did. He will think that he has acquired magic powers of invisibility. Not to history, of course. And history will resume at noon on January 20. From that moment on, “Joe Biden” is certified as the most odious villain in our nation’s history.
Five years ago, the article began, “a confidential security report warned that the iconic Bourbon Street tourist strip was vulnerable to a ‘vehicular ramming’ attack.” The New York security firm producing that classified assessment urgently recommended fixing the barriers immediately, explaining that “the two modes of terror attack likely to be used are vehicular ramming and active shooting.” ...
In this next clip, N.O.P.D. Captain Anne Kirkpatrick explained to journalists that when she was crafting her failed security plan to protect Bourbon Street revelers, she did not know about the police department’s “Yellow Archers.” The Yellow Archers are portable barriers used to stop people from driving onto the sidewalk. “We have them,” Captain Kirkpatrick explained, adding “I didn’t know about them, but we have ‘em; and so we have been able now to put them out.”
They have now been able to put them out? Now? It reminds us of an old expression about closing the barn door after the horses hide the Yellow Archers, but I can’t recall the specifics.
Captain Kirkpatrick surely deserves credit for admitting that her security plan failed, with tragic results. But it is inexcusable that Kirkpatrick failed to protect the sidewalks using inventoried gear the city’s residents had already paid for. It would seem to be a critical question to figure out what caused Anne’s disastrous senior moment. ...
Whether or not you’re tempted to see a conspiracy here, remember what we do know: regardless of who’s behind the attack, it could not have happened without deep government corruption in New Orleans combined with unforgivable official incompetence at nearly every level. New Orleans readers, you should demand your tax dollars back.
