Pope Francis, hospitalized Friday with bronchitis, has a "polymicrobial respiratory tract infection," the Vatican said Monday, and his "complex clinical picture" will "require an appropriate hospital stay" in Rome's A. Gemelli Polyclinic.

Who said what
The diagnosis essentially "means there's a mix of bacteria, viruses, fungi or parasites growing" in the his lungs, The Associated Press aid, and "for someone with the pope's medical history — he lost part of his right lung decades ago and has previously had pneumonia — it's worrying that he's been hospitalized." The Vatican said Monday that Francis was "in good spirits," in stable condition with no fever and had resumed "some work activities."

The 88-year-old pope's "medical challenges have become more numerous with age," including the removal of part of his colon, seasonal respiratory infections and knee problems and sciatica that have "caused a severe limp" and "often required him to use a wheelchair, walker or cane," The New York Times said.

I hope the Cardinals have found a more environmentally friendly way of choosing the new Pope than burning paper.
I can feel the sea level rise with every vote.....

I never got that. The media eats it up. I'm non-religious, but it seriously looks like human retardation. Just make an announcement. It's like Congress electing the POTUS. I didn't have a choice and don't give a shit at that point. Burn a horse or something in the square.

I mean, to the Catholics here, do you think you should get a vote in it? Or some hundreds of weird dudes dressed in Halloween costumes deciding for you who your pope is? It's a trillion dollar empire so to speak. These guys are likely educated in religion, not reality. Could they even build a basic bookshelf? They just repeat crap anyone can read.

The real issue is which Pope will Marcia (Mistress Frost) will elect with Elmer (Elfstone) when she is a Level 8 Warlock-Witch in Dungeons and Dragons with the Necronomicon.

Just FYI there's new conclave rules, they have 20 days to start meeting from the death of the last pope.

Usually the see is vacant for about 3-4 weeks in the past century.

I don't see it is a competition. It's more like 'Speaker of the House', hammering out the negotiations between the various factions for final policy implementations contracts for the likely already selected new Pontiff.

Few pundits note that purging the Church of the Lavender Mafia, of the homosexual priests and bishops who run the Church, is arguably the most important and the most difficult of all tasks a new pope will face. ...

There is quite a lot of evidence to support the presence of a homosexual underground in the seminaries and priesthood: indispensable is the book by Fr. Donald Cozzens: The Changing Face of the Priesthood (2000), wherein he prophetically maintained that the priesthood was becoming a gay profession. Richard Sipe worked on the topic for years and wrote many books (listed on his website); he concluded that in the early-21st century, 30 percent of the U.S. bishops were active homosexuals. ...

In 2019, Pope Benedict, speaking of the ’60s and ’70s, famously said, “In various seminaries homosexual cliques were established, which acted more or less openly and significantly changed the climate in the seminaries.” Pope Francis, largely considered sympathetic to LGBTQ+ issues, shocked the Italian Episcopal Conference by saying, “there is too much ‘frociaggine’ [faggotry] in seminaries.” (Pope Francis later apologized for his use of the term.)

"You have arrived at the destination."

I don't get why it looks like there is an image of a slice of pizza on the popemobile though.

It's one of the standard pedophilia codes.

Right, forgot that.

Actually, the "intended" or "designated" destination. I think that subtly matters for this cartoon.
