I heard on the radio that Trump(?) has threatened to charge employers who knowingly (good luck proving an employer knowing hired an undocumented alien) hire undocumented aliens. So, now the question is what is the definition/difference in/between an illegal alien and a documented alien?
People who officially come on greencard or visa are legal aliens. After some time they become citizens. There is also H1 , n other visas. They have permission to go to school ,work etc officially. They usually go thru criminal, n health background check. Us education isn't best n doesn't always produce needed professional if there is need. E.g. disease outbreak n need lot of doc n nurses. IT technology that needs lot of ppl.who are good at math.. so such allows us to steal other country's well educated ppl.
Illegals are people who sneaked in n have no legal docs to stay in usa. We don't know their criminal or health record. Though most countries don't have as many stds as usa.
Irony all this is that usa was penal colony for British n French. So they sent their worse to usa. Not only they took jobs, they look native land, raped n enslaved women. Then they kicked them out of their own land. Killed many thru starvation. Since then most migrants were called to build railroads, etc. Whole country is immegrant.

That's Australia, mate.
Very early on, there might have been some transports (like 17th century), but by and large yes.
Generally speaking, in the Americas, not specifically the 13 Colonies, mostly Irish women and girls were transported to the West Indies to breed with blacks to create "Cream of Wheat" house niggers. This is why the fledgling USA banned foreign slave importation, because to do so would collapse the price of house niggers.
