It makes absolute sense. The economic system has completely screwed over non-property owners in New York City. Rent is $4k per month for a 1 bedroom flat. You gotta have 4 people crammed into one to make the payments pencil out for average wage earners.

In NYC you've got the highest income/wealth gap in America. You have entire skyscrapers filled with rich folks who don't buy shampoo because their servants wash their hair every day. The elites are so far removed from the reality of regular folks it is stupid.

100% agreed. People maybe deliberately obtuse paint him as a dumb commie, but that's not how he got elected. Quite a few of his proposals make sense given the wide wealth gap created by crony capitalist policies of both parties. You hit the nail on the head. The guy is smart, can't really whip up much anger myself over his win.

Not sure if it was true, I read a news that one of the investors moved his RE investment from NYC to FL. He thinks, 25% down in NYC and 250% up in FL during the last 8 years. I guess FL case may not apply to general public.
Like CA 1978 Prop 13 law for rich commies, eventually creating unsustainable housing for everyone. Looks like, same things are happening in other places like NYC and invite even more hard core commies.
