Without speculating what he is or isn't, logically he is right. He is basically saying it's ok to promote identity politics for your heritage in your country, and swing the pendulum from the other side back to yours, to correct the grip other cultures, races and religions have had on us for many decades, promoting active discrimination against us.

The question is if you go down that route, will you realize when you have altered the fabric of society enough to your heritage's liking and can you stop these policies from becoming overly discriminatory in the other direction. Every country and culture should promote their heritage and traditions within their own borders, this will keep the world diverse in the right way.

Also some immigration and foreign culture/heritage is ok and may even be a boon for a country, however it's obvious many countries have crossed the "some" threshold long ago and have completely decimated their own heritage culture, and social fabric.
