It’s an IMMENSE challenge often characterized by stims, seizures, diapers and not being able to verbally communicate. Just because your autism or your loved one’s autism isn’t severe, doesn’t mean severe autism doesn’t exist. You can’t use your experience as the measuring stick for truth.
