What's the screw jammed into the trigger assembly? He advanced the trigger to go off. I'm not a big fan of small pistols hard to handle when firing.

At 1:12 in the video the gun goes off when the slide is squeezed but the slide doesn't cycle. There did not seem to be much recoil. he must have been shooting blanks.

I've shot a Sig P320 9mm a lot and every time the bullet came out, the slide went back to eject the spent shell and chamber the next round. I also used a two hand grip as that pistol has a bit of recoil. I always kept my finger off the trigger until I was ready to shoot.

What is the video trying to prove?

Has anyone seen confirmation of whether or not Pretti's gun was actually fired?

Personally I couldn't draw any conclusions from any of the videos I've seen without confirming my own bias. Kind of like 'what is a catch in the NFL' - it's whatever the NFL needs it to be to advance that seasons' story line.

It is a bad look though. I don't think Pretti ever handled his own weapon. I think he had a magazine in his hand at one point. I have no empathy for the young idealist - play stupid games win stupid prizes.

Whether or not the agents face criminal charges or not - they still will have to live with this killing. If they don't face a life long moral dilemma over that then they probably shouldn't have been doing the job in the first place.

Personally I think anyone who carries a weapon as part of their job should have to have an IQ test and register at least 120 in order to qualify. Putting stupid people in these positions will always lead to stupid decisions and poor outcomes.

I do not think it is an IQ problem, but a problem with being harassed by a crowd that is egged on by constant calls of claiming ICE as evil storm troopers. If you are ICE, you would fire on any agitator that looks like he is reaching for a weapon.

The best guns are CZ; CZ75B, CZ75 P01, SP01, and other models are all fantastic.

The CZ are so great that they're copied by other gun companies: Sphinx (Swiss), Tangfolio (Italy) Canik (Turkey) make clones of CZ guns.

Maybe the finest gun around is the Pardini GT 9; however you can't afford it so forget it and buy a CZ instead.

Best action would be to take out the assholes funding it.

The make and model of the gun has no bearing on the situation whatsoever as it was never even unholstered by the owner.

Hammer-fired SIGs are excellent (and better than CZ, imo). Striker-fired SIGs are a mistake. They should have introduced a grip safety a-la XD if they insist on having the striker fully tensioned. As they stand now they are basically SAO guns carried cocked but not locked. And with no hammer to put your thumb on while holstering.

Yeah, there are reported scores of lawsuits about the gun going off just from grabbing the slide - with the safety on. There's also a USAF investigation where the trigger was never pulled nor safety off according to witnesses during a training with the M18 (military P320 version). Supposedly some Law Enforcement Agencies are also in a legal battle with Sig for the same reason.

It's possible the agent grabbed the pistol by the slide and it went off. In any case, Pretti QUIT HIS NURSING JOB to go full time Antifa.
