I’m guessing the ayatollah leaves the country and an interim govt is established with the blessing of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. The son of the Shah becomes the titular head of state until elections can be held.

I hope so, because I was an cadet interrogator instructor at USAFA when this guy visited and decided he wanted to experience the POW training treatment. Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and others actually don't want the Ayatollah gone 100%. They want him weak but not gone.

Iran isn't just oil, they have other resources and unlike the Gulf States, many millions more people as the country supports a large population with domestic agra.

Without Iran, they are automatically the de facto leaders of the Muslim world. Egypt is too poor GDP/head. Iran has both the population, location, and resources to be the head Muslim country.

With Iran, it's a no brainer who the main US ally and bedrock of MENA security becomes.

Qatar is terrified that with the liberation of Iran, undeniable proof of the collusion between Qatar/Muslim Brotherhood and Ayatollah cooperation will all come out.

I will laugh my ass off if there's a regime change, esp. if it's bloodless for the USA. Some influenzas are going to be proven wrong yet again, but just are too devoted to their (((theories))) or theorie$ to change their mind despite evidence.
