So valuations are back to 20 year low. Can we see this in bay area ? What was the price of a Sunnyvale single family home in 1989 ?

thanks.

I did Carpet back in 89 and as I recall condo's were 35K-75K, unless you were in Sunny Isles or Adventura. But those Senior storage facilities that dot South Florida were always dirt cheap in comparison to a single family house.
I'm still seeing too many condo's going for over 180K sure it's a nice building but look where it's at, this aint Aventrua and it sure as hell isn't Sunny Isles.

I mean don't forget that 120K only buys you the right to pay monthly condo fees and constant assessments, and yearly parking vallet and garage company increase fees. Those buildings aren't cheap to manage, staff, you'll be paying the payroll don't forget. You better be somewhere worth the view, and Lurking over Overtown Miami isn't exactly my idea hoitey toitey living.

I mean how can they compare 1988 prices to now, down town Miami was a slum dotted with Office Buildings. Perhaps further south where US1 turns into Brickell ave were affluent condo's going for 120K or more(don't forget 120K in 1988, was not chump change), but not down town Miami. Especially where these codos sit now.

If the median is 250-275K then maybe OK.

sunnyvale prices were declining due to job loss ... all the plants
were shut down.

buying a condo is like signing a rental lease for life without any control on the rent

"Miami has improved in many neighborhoods"

If you call ghost empty white elephants, with bum piss smell permeating the entry way, an improvement, then why yes I suppose it has.
