Yes, it's like that in Sillycon Valley too. People get in way over their heads, and then desperately try to rent out the property at 2x to 3x the current market rent. It's funny, but kind of sad too.
This one virtually made me pee my pants. I don't know what's funnier: the $6,750/mo rental price or the description:
"Waterfront! Owner/Broker's Furnished/Unfurnished Year Round Rental Perfect For Celebrity, Relocating Executive Or Medical Professional! Possible Purchase $2.495 Million Rent Here Now!"
I guess the realtor-owner isn't bring home the PITI bacon (any more). Sorry to hear it. Yes it's nice but if the owner thinks there's anyone in this area with that much cash for monthly rent, he should be committed. Max about $3500/mo in the area for any year-round rental, no matter how stunning. Seriously, the farmers and fishermen just can't afford a fraction of that, and no rich NYC folks rent year round, they find a summer rental house for their boat MD-LD for $30-$35 grand.
I guess that's why the fellow is calling all 'celebrities'!! LMAO Go troll in the Hamptons dude
