Black people come in all shades, and not all have black skin, so the statement is a stereotype. I am no expert on the history of kosher laws, but from personal experience, I frequently eat with Jewish people, many of whom who don't keep kosher, as well as some who do. Assuming your assessment of kosher law history is true, in my exprience, it is irrelvant in everyday practice amongst the kosher and non-kosher Jews with whom I eat. I have no way of knowing if what you said is true or not, but I would also ask for credible source material to prove the truth of the statement "The whole point of kosher laws is to not eat with non-Jews."

It's a silly ritualistic tradition. Religion is one of my left leaning tendencies. It's fiction. Not real. Religions are no different than a cult except some do help with moral guidance which I don't mind. At the end of the day it's a way to part you from your money though. As is everything with life. Acknowledge what it is and move on. Islam is a bit scary, but I really dislike most religion. It's not logical. I need facts and religion doesn't deliver that, especially when there are so many. I get the sentiment. It's a club for sure. Problem is when the club throws you out and stabs you in the back if you don't conform. Who makes the rules? An interesting thought on equality of opportunity. But I don’t think such is possible. Some are born rich, some are poor. Some are tall, some are short. I think freedom is best we can hope for. This is just a thought.

BTW, I personally lived this stuff. My grandfather was a wonderful person and I loved him dearly. He was a also bookie and his brothers all had illegal gambling businesses.

Agreed. All the Jews I know love "success", which comes from strong family, genes, education, connections history and all the rest already mentioned. My Jewish friends are successful doctors, lawyers, engineers, entertainment and finance. Pretty diverse background where money is just an instrument or part of that success.
