I don't believe any Western news out of Ukraine about how the war efforts are going in Ukraine, and believe even less than none of it, about the reports of how Putin feelz about the developminks.

Nobody with any insight into Putin's mind or his thoughts on outcomes, would be blabbing it to the AP, BBC or CNN+, not unless they wanted a forehead vent hole and their whole family tree be liquidated. I believe that would be Putin's response to these bogus reports, if any of it were true.

I've been listening to Ryan Dawson lately, and he played a clip of some Chechnyans that were addressing a bunch of Ukrainian soldiers that surrendered at Muripol. One of the Chechnyans told them basically "we were divide and convinced to fight against our own countrymen and brothers, the most radical of us were supported to create a conflict" - and then he pointed out that the Azof Battalion, the Right Sector, etc - were being financially supported by the West. He pointed out that Al-Qaeda were enemies in Iraq, but in Syria, they were funded. The United States does this everywhere, notice how easily "our enemies" become "our friends". The Mujahideen were our friends, then we renamed them to the Taliban.

And I think that is what is being done. It's sad to see this unnecessary war and I blame Zelenskyy and Ihor Kolomoyskyi for it. They purposely egged on this conflict, and all it will do is destroy Ukraine and weaken Russia - and quite possibly Europe. It will just make the nations involved with this conflict weaker and more subject to the vultures.

I like him. I can't stand people that identify as "left" or "right" at this point. I think generally he's "this is how I view it, and here's the all the abundant evidence that I have collected to form my conclusion". All wars are awful. The longer it is, the worse it is.

I have no doubt that Russia will win this war, and if that is correct, that just means every Ukrainian killed died for nothing. I still hope for a quick end.

what do you mean? im in CA still, previous owners in ID paying rentback for a few month, then we move. CA property we will likely sell, still going back and forth on renting it out for a year just to see how life goes in ID.

First winter was a little rough on my wife. I think if we had kept our old house and rented it she wouldn't have stuck with giving it a serous go and would have wanted to go back. She doesn't feel that way now and knows we are in a better place but still misses family. I myself could never go back now I hated living in LA. I'm glad I just detached 100% from CA.

One thing if I had held on to my old house and just waited a year I could have made an extra 200k but that's a timing issue with market and things are not that hot now.

About the middle of February after a year of floundering, I started going with my Electrician friend on Jobs. Not only as his step and fetch helper, but he really set out to crash course tutor me with knowledge, that normally a person would work for months or years, before they get to know how to run a job, let alone run the connections and source all the appropriate parts. This guy really knows his shit, so I'm really getting some quality input from him. I work with him cheap, it's more about the knowledge, even when we don't have a job, he goes through his parts shed and his parts boxes in his truck, and shows me what they all are, why they are used, what used to be used, how Dartards(sic) do it, and the code way to do it. Funny when we go on jobs, how many examples of the wrong way there are for him to show me. It really sticks when you were just talking about something that is wrong, then go on a job and see it.

At first I was just interested in doing residential service calls for residentials, with the hope of getting a couple Panel Box replacements a month. I was intimidated with big three phase jobs, but as luck would have it, we got several big three phase jobs back to back, that covered the main service, to wiring and piping the wall, emt, mc cable, metal boxes, 35 foot ceiling work, lights, outlets and switches. Though I was no fan of the scissor lift, nor do I think I could ever learn to drive as well as this guy. As I wouldn't want to have to.

I didn't think I would ever be doing Electrical work. Actually in my previous life before Software, I was in the flooring trade. I missed that gig economy freedom that goes with Trades. Flooring is too brutal for me to do at my age, not at a volume where I could make decent money. Flooring materials weigh a ton, it's the hardest part of the job. But I missed that subcontractor culture.
Also trades are paid a hell of lot more than when I was doing it back before 1997. It was a living hand to mouth affair back then.
