The Confederate battle flag is NOT the Confederate flag. Furthermore, the Confederate battle flag was not flow by the public at all until the 1930s when the KKK adopted it as a symbol of racism and continuing the Civil War. As such, it is utterly disingenuous to claim that the Confederate battle flag is a symbol of Southern pride. It is a symbol of Southern treason and racism.

Do people have the right to fly the Confederate battle flag? Absolutely. People have the right to fly the Nazi flag, the Soviet Union flag, and the ISIS flag. They also have the right to burn the American flag. However, other people also have the right to think you are an asshole for doing those things and treat you as such.

Did the woman in the original post's video handle the situation in at all a productive way? No. She is a batshit crazy conservative who fakes fear and makes false criminal accusations in order to demonize the people who didn't put up with her shit.
