I found a great website that shows real bank loan delinquency data collected from the FDIC.

http://www.wlmlab.com/main.asp

One feature that is very impressive:  You can type "metro:san francisco" or something like that in the search field, and it will show all the banks in your metro area, ranked by amount of outstanding loans.  It's an easy way to see how many of your neighbors are seriously delinquent.  It looks like the national average is over 7% are 90+ days delinquent.

Check out Wells Fargo.  Is this the same bank that just announced a profit?  It seems the emperor is wearing no clothes...

What is shows is that banks make !@#$ loads of money, and that even at 7% delinquency they're profitable.
