DataQuick “Bay Area Home Prices Declineâ€
Wow. -5.5% Y/Y for Contra Costa. Looks like those communtable-but-not-exacly homes will be hit hard.
That last post sounded ageist.
Is there a law against age discrimination in blogs? :)
I AM NOT A LAWYER but I am under the impression that discrimination against vegetarians (it is neither of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age or disability) at employment may be legal.
But is it a religion? Oh, I hope some large coporations try! If the veggies come back and claim that they are religious groups, then we can hope to have their laws struck down! Ha Ha.
But is it a disability? Perhaps. Let them claim that and see their popularity plummet!
You sound like you’ve been harrassed by some militant vegans.
My real estate friends are turning vegetarians.
I can tolerate "buy now or be price out forever" but I cannot tolerate "you cannot eat veal". :)
As mentioned on astrid's blog, I screwed up some veal. It is not something too easy. Your husband may be a "hidden" talented chef. ;)
BTW, my mom did not cook (my dad did) and now I cook more than my wife does.
There should be a "Veal is Real Good" campaign. :)
@DinOR,
This will get ugly and I am beginning to feel like George Bailey when Mr. Potter makes him the partnership offer during the panic.
This is doubly appropriate - after all, the Bailey S+L was all about mortgages for the "little guy," right? Was George Bailey the first subprime lender?????
But dinner has to be fairly simple. It can be frustrating sometimes.
We should talk about simple-but-fancy recipes on astrid's blog! ;)

I just got a calendar from the completely useless woman who pretended to be a buyer's agent when we bought our house. Every month has a cliche' landscape photograph - but whatever meager uplifting value this may have had is now ruined with an inset of the idiot realtwhore. This same pest has in the past sent utterly useless magnets plastered with her face, and a cheap and possibly toxic coffee mug in an attempt to generate repeat business and (gawd-help-me) referrals.
Why do realtors believe that a cheesy, touched-up perma-grin photograph has any sort of marketing value - especially when theirs is a face that launched a thousand quips ? If they really wanted their card to get your attention, shouldn't they instead photoshop a picture of Angelina Jolie (or Jake Gyllenhaal, depending on your... ah... persuasion)?
Feel free to comment and/or publish links to examples of this particular strain of vanity.
