I wonder if Teaparty supporters would like to see this negative income tax reduced / eliminated since it is a type of Federal spending.

Low income tax on the po' is just another rent support really.

Poor people rent, so giving them money just ends up in their landlords' pockets.

Whether it's dollar for dollar is debatable I guess.

I think the problem is most households earn very little. All the money is going to the top 2% and there is nothing left over.

Why do we want to tax the have nots?

I agree. Everybody should pay something, even if it's s nominal amount. I have discussed this with some of my liberal friends and ALL of them agree with me on this one.

I am thinking not a lot but some nominal amount.

BTW a little off of this idea, I really like Troy's idea of an immediate *war tax* every time we intervene in some conflict overseas.
