No we just don't like being told what do, by Smug smart Asses in California.
Hey I gotta an Idea! Why don't you manufacture cars in California, so they can inject and dictate what goes in them or don't? California could just set the standard right at the source, and only provide one flavor of automobiles. Maybe then we could be a Nation that drives the battery powered Barbie Wrangler everywhere.
OH, that's right, California Can't because the only industry California can get are the ones that doesn't have any byproducts or waste, lest the State makes it cost prohibitive. I'm surprised California hasn't figured out a way to tax and oppress the Tech industry. I think the Californians aren't trying hard enough. The Tech industry produces as much waste and junk as everyone else. Their annual packaging and marketing material waste alone could probably fill up a Staten Island.
See that's just Liberal elite chastising the Fat Asses for not buying Eggs on wheels.

Well... that is only because it is different than what the smug smart-asses on FOX "news" are telling you to do.
I’m surprised California hasn’t figured out a way to tax and oppress the Tech industry.
Perhaps you need to rethink your notions about California.
...Ohh... wait... that would require basing your opinions on facts... never mind then, I can't expect you to make such a hurdle.
Are we really to big to drive small? I’m not. I’m over 6 feet tall and embarrassingly fat. Yet my favorite car was a Geo Metro.
Yeah, I am 6'2" drive a mid-sized car and fit with no problems.
I have test driven many small cars that I could fit in just fine, but there are also some small and mid sized cars that are uncomfortable even when I have the seat so far back that it makes the seat behind me unusable.
What does Fox news have to do with anything, or at least me.
I watch CNN, if I watch news at all. I listen to NPR, just so I get my daily dose of mental wedgies over sheer load of BS, Californians are always trying to submit the rest of the country to. No matter how far over the edge of total financial collapse they venture.
Do I really need Bill O'Riley to tell me when I should be pissed off?
I'm with ya Apoclypsescrewjob
But those cars burned gas. Not much mind you, but it didn't use underdeveloped over priced Nerd power.
In other words those cars don't have a strong enough Fuckification factor. The last damn thing the Government wants to buy is a car that runs for ever on a few cents of gas.

"Karen Steelman, a stay-at-home mom from Athens, Ga., has tried to like small cars. She read plenty of reviews, kicked their tires, and has even taken a few test drives."
"But none of them make her feel safe. And none of them make her feel comfortable."
It's my observation that, for many people, their car is more than a conveyance, it's a suit of armor. And if there's any correlation between the size of the vehicle and the size of the driver, it's a negative one.
Here's the story's biggest lie:
"Automakers have long tried to figure out how to get Americans to buy smaller cars."
HaHaHaHa!!
