I love reading this kind of stuff.
When oil peaks, agribusiness will go the way of the Dodo, as care and skill will have to replace the application of chemicals and heavy machinery.
Not sure alcohol is a panacea, but it's a step in the right direction.

Small scale alcohol production in local communities is THE transitional way to survive GD2!
We know that the housing collapse is going to continue because it takes real jobs to support the Ponzi Scheme called the American Dream, i.e. one needs a job to have a mortgage to own a house. No job means no mortgage which equates to no house.
So, while we are waiting for the Bank Bernank to solve this problem, how are we going to survive and thrive during GD2 and, possibly, WW3?
