How does this happen with today's tek-nolo-g?
Kind of like earlier tonight...my friend called my cell phone from his cell phone, and instead got some financial-type business. He asked her what the # was & it was (of course) a different number in a different area code. He called me again & it got through. An hour later, he called me & got the same business that he'd gotten earlier....

I'm here! But not.

There's something about this new home in the prick thread. Bad feng shui or something. Or maybe the gluttony it took to reach Huh 2000 has left me feeling like, well, a glutton.

Or maybe it's reading that new thread, which made my brain feel fuzzy and stale, like an old M&M stuck in the couch, for reasons I can't quite explain.

Regardless, I'll try to check in frequently, but for the next weeks I imagine I'll be around less often. We're doing a long weekend trip next weekend to San Diego, and I've got a book due in 5 weeks. Must crack the whip.

At some point, it seems to me, the freakish number of posts Huh could take on will serve as a draw to onlookers. Like a train wreck, and they'll be willing to wait for the reload just to see what all the hubbub is about. I prefer a bit more anonymity.

But, since Huh hasn't died yet...

Oh, so my poor pitiful no-one comments blog needs my friends to "create interest?" LOL, I should just turn off the comments option. It's sad really, how few people actually comment. And they're all people who know me.

I'm such a dummy, I registered for this site back when HARM put out a call for everyone to post a thread, but then I forgot I was supposed to ask for a password, I guess? So I can't log on. I think my mom reads my blog, and my husband does, but much of my family has only just discovered the internet and is still marveling over Ebay, and instant messaging, and stuff. They have not discovered blogs.

You are welcome to post there, SQT! I did write a few writing articles in the past month or so that are posted there. But if you post on old theads there, I likely won't notice...blogger is supposed to notify me when there's a new post but it never does. So I only ever look at the latest threads.

Nice discussions on art/writing. It's good exposure...my mind's stuck with tech/science too much. I'd like to see Jamie's blog, too. I've also tried to register just for posting to the blogspot blogs & found that it wanted me to create my own blog site.

SQT, I know you won't read this tonight, but I noticed you mention fantasy novels, and that you're writing something fantasy-detective hybrid. Sound good! Did you ever read Stephen R. Donaldson? I like reading his books when I was a kid (along with the usual tolkien, and some others I can't remeber). More recently, I've read a lot of Neil Stephenson. Ever read anything by him?
