Obot, she had no way of knowing his biographical information in 1991. Another author from the same agency who dealt with this lady confirmed that agency had policy that authors wrote their biographies.

So again, you are saying that the woman who wrote it doesn't know what she's talking about. I see. You seem to be very knowledgeable about the situation. Even more knowledgeable than the writer herself. Remarkable.

It is very obvious that she is lying now, trying to cover for Obama. Let me illustrate something for you. A literary agent receives requests from aspiring authors who are trying to sell their book ideas. Which process makes sense:
1. Agent asks an unknown author to submit his own biography.
2. Agent writes the biography even though agent knows nothing about author's background.

Are you stupid, naive or simply a partisan covering for Obama?

Bigsby getting pummeled so he pulls the race card!

His posts are littered with racist, homophobic and xenophobic remarks. If commenting on that is considered playing the race card, then so be it. And as for being pummeled in the 'discussion,' well paint me shocked that you agree with Clambo's views. Utterly stunning. Neither of you seem to enjoy the use of facts in your arguments, so really, I'm not sure what you actually consider winning to mean. Presumably, the one capable of bullshitting the most whilst keeping a straight face.

Then if you want anything you scream racism. You people don't believe in merit or achievement. You don't believe in this country. Leeches on a host.

It's not my country. As for not believing in merit or achievement, I'd say that is your area of expertise because you are only interested in the achievements of people who are like-minded. You are utterly incapable of acknowledging the positive things others do if their world outlook doesn't mesh with your own.
I don't have a foot in either the Democrat or Republican camps. As far as I can tell, there's not a great deal of difference between either of them when it comes to what they actually end up doing when in power. It just seems that you blow-hards can't see or accept that. You have to create your straw men to make yourselves feel better about your condition. It isn't just people like you who make your country the most influential and powerful in the world. It's everyone, of all shapes and sizes, racial backgrounds, religious beliefs (or lack thereof), political views.... Everyone who makes an effort by building up rather than knocking down. You, though, seem only interested in knocking down so what exactly is your contribution to your very fine country?

Oh, good grief. You just can't accept it, can you? Why is it so important to you? She said she made a mistake. Why is that so difficult to accept? Let me tell you why, because you want to believe he was born in Kenya no matter what the facts are. I couldn't care less where he was born. I'm not an American. What? I mean seriously, WTF are you saying? That an editor made a deliberate mistake back in 1991 about somebody virtually nobody knew about so that it could 'add to his cache with lefties?' Have you got a screw loose?

What does his anonymity back in '91 have to do with it.

Because nobody knows him therefore this is not a deliberate lie. What kind of thinking is that?

You must be on a wind up. That or you are deranged.

IT seems remotely possibly to me that it was a lie, from OBama, that is about being born in Kenya. Unlikely, but possible.

Not cool if he did, but if he did, I would bet there was some practical reason for it (not some perceived cache). It could be something like at the time he wanted to pursue having a dual citizenship, because of family over there, and maybe hopes of a career in international relations with Africa. Obviously at the time he had no idea what course his career would take, but he was very ambitious.

I'm not defending or condoning, I'm just speculating that in the fairly small chance that it was in fact a lie, the rationale would be something like this.

I would think that republicans would sort of respect that, since by nature they tend to be much looser with the honesty (especially with themselves) than those who are only slightly right of center (the so called "liberals").

70   CBOEtrader   2012 May 19, 5:53am

This is the only rational comment in this thread so far. My best guess is that Obama has groomed his story again and again for his best interests-- which is what every public figure does, and really most people (see the current yahoo CEO scandal).

I don't understand why this is news though-- it's standard practice.

You have not explained the logic behind the claim that a literary agent wrote a biography of an unknown aspiring author. She had no information about Obama's past - how could she be the one to make a "mistake" and mention Kenya as Obama's birthplace? The story is an obvious cover up for Obama.
You are the one who spreads BS claims.

If you pitched an idea for a book to an agent and she agreed to represent you - who would be writing your biography: you or your agent?

Let me guess - you are still against the idea that it is necessary to actually check and verify his background information using original documentation on file with various US government agencies:

1. Original birth certificate (the "written down" thing mentioned by gov. Abercrombie).
2. Passport information (including complete history of his mother's passports).
3. Selective Service registration card.

Media bullshit mixed with the koolaid for liberal lefty consumption.
1. Obama is black. Y/N? No, he's a mulatto, 1/2 white raised by whites.
2. Warren is a Cherokee. Y/N? No, she has NO proof of any native American blood.
3. Al Gore is a scientist. Y/N? No, Al Gore earned a D in the only science class he ever took. The guy who taught it recently said he doesn't believe in global warming, although he was the one who came up with that theory.
4. CO2 is a pollutant.Y/N? No, CO2 is a necessary plant nutrient in very low conc. in the atmosphere.
There are reasons that some people doubt the Obama story, the reason is the story is a media concoction.
I may be alone, I believe he cannot have faked this document for birth in Hawaii, and I don't believe it is fake. It's also not the original birth certificate.
However, what I actually know about his life is he is a mixed up person.
The more you know about him the worse he gets, and the more bullshit you have to believe to not be concerned.
"Bill Ayers is a guy in the neighborhood." Not really accurate.
"I never heard Rev.Wright give sermons like that." Not in 25 years.
I got some people at a party in CT pissed off when in their liberal midst I said when I interviewed guys for a job, I never picked the candidate with zero experience. Obama had zero executive experience before his election.
I also know that Obama pulled some dirty tricks in Chicago to keep his opponents off the ballots, etc. so I think he's just a political hack.
Don't even mention his thunderthighed witch of a wife using the taxpayers money to take vacations in Spain and all over the place without her poor husband even present. They are enjoying the billionaire lifestyle that they decry, yet they earned none of it from hard work or brains.

83   clambo   2012 May 20, 1:47pm

The point is not that Obama was born in Hawaii. The point is that Obama and his publicists have created a fiction about him on various occasions. When convenient, evidently the fiction was he was a Kenyan. When convenient, the fiction was he was a black African American. He's a mulatto and has no American ancestry on the black side. He neither ever lived with his African father.
The other fiction was that his mother was sane, and not an impulsive crazy woman who was getting creampie surprised at 17 by a married muslim from Kenya.

If someone lies to you and constantly insults your intelligence and you object, is that being "stupid"?

Her academic final project to use to graduate from college was a boring description of her experience being black and attending that college.
So, she got a degree in narcissistic navel gazing and bullshit.
Those of course are perfect qualities for going to law school.

I don't think it was Obama's mother who gave the information about birth in Kenya to the literary agent. That information came from Obama.

We don't know which passport Obama got (US, Indonesian,...). We know that his mother excluded him from her passport when she applied for passport reneval.

Definite answer to your question will be possible only when original documentation on file with US government agencies is examined. You cannot trust Obama's word alone when it comes to his biography. Too many lies have been told.

In my opinion, based on publicly available facts, his birth was registered in Hawaii as an unattended (by a physician) birth. His grandmother submitted birth registration form and based on that form newspapaer announcements have been made.

Governer Abercrombie vowed to shut the birthers up at the beginning of his term 1.5 years ago. Initially he was very loud about his intentions to resolve this issue. However, he did not deliver on his promise - he could only claim that something 'written down' had been found in the archive.

Obama's SSN does not make sense. In 1977 he was living as a teenager in Hawaii. The SS number, he has been using throughout his life, was issued in 1977 and it was reserved for an applicant from Connecticut. Most likely this indicates ID fraud.
According to Sheriff Arpaio's investigation, Obama's birth certificate "pdf" file and Selective Service registration card are forgeries. Director of Selective Service refuses to cooperate with Arpaio's investigation and provide a copy of the microfilm for the date when Obama's alleged registration was made.
US government refused to release passport information (prior to 1965) for Obama's mother.
Stuff like this does not happen to a person born in a US hospital (the offical birthplace story).
There is much more. It will be interesting to watch Sheriff Arpaio's next press conference about this topic.

Toe Jam, I think that the female liberal doxy loves Obama not because she has liberal guilt (although she might), it's because liberal females who have not grown up in the ghetto have a *black man fetish*.
It's a bit like how caucasian men have an Asian woman fetish, sometimes they marry the object of their fetish (e.g. Rupert Murdoch, Mark Zukerberg, etc.)
Every single overweight, single, older American woman who owns cats voted for Obama last time.
It's actually a bit sad. I have been glancing on Facebook and there are TWO pictures of my classmates (who are now of course old hag women) posing with a lifesized cardboard Obama. They are smiling like they are his little girlfriends.
Pathetic really. Women are such strange creatures sometimes.
Liberal men are strange too but they are easy to identify.
