Hello,

I was reading and it looks to me that people advises that investing in mutual funds is a long term investment.

Can anybody please define what do they mean with long term? is it 3 months? 1 year? 3 years?

Suppose I own few mutual funds for few months and I made some money already (at least in what I see online), is there a tax implication which is deeper if I invest the money for shorter term than longer term?

Please assume that I don't know much on this matter, so please try to be as clear and explicit as possible.

Thanks a lot
Regards
Luis
