Americans will always be confused about their community because it doesn't exist anymore. Everything today is owned by city, county, state and federal jurisdictions. They are the national landlord, whether you admit it or just don't know any better.

Everyone wants something different. That is not confusing until realtors come in and try to score homes based on stupid tags like "walkability score", "up and coming neighborhood potential", etc. The middle man has confused real estate.
