This is utter bullshit. The rules that conservative want implemented are rules that restrict the number of immigrants, plain and simple. It would be trivial to end all illegal immigration. Just get rid of quotas and ensure that everyone who follows the procedures (filling out forms, providing ID, fingerprinting, etc.) will get in the country legally and quickly. This can easily be done.

The sole purpose of immigration laws is to stop people from entering the country, not to ensure that they enter the country and become citizens in some "right way".

Now, I'm not saying that immigration quotas are a bad thing, but anyone who says they are against illegal immigration rather than against immigration is full of shit. If you don't want immigrants, for whatever reason, at least have the intellectual honesty to admit what your real political position is.

The current laws reflect the political position of a few assholes; they were never discussed with the public, nonetheless voted on. And those who advocate the current laws are unwilling to admit their real reasons for wanting them because their real reasons are not dependable.

So, I stand by my statement that those who are bitching about people not following the law can easily have their actual (not intended) complaints satisfied by changing the law to remove all immigration caps. Then all immigrants would follow the law to the letter as their would be zero cost not to.

If you want to have a mature, adult conversation about whether or not we should have caps and what they should be, then you need to drop the bullshit "illegal immigrates" meme as it distracts from the real conversation.
