A fair amount of attention has fallen on the failure of many Western governments to adequately address the burden on Syria's neighboring countries, which are struggling to hostthe brunt of the roughly 4 million Syrians forced out of the country by its civil war. ...

Less ire, though, has been directed at another set of stakeholders who almost certainly should be doing more: Saudi Arabia and the wealthy Arab states along the Persian Gulf.

As Amnesty International recently pointed out, the "six Gulf countries -- Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain -- have offered zero resettlement places to Syrian refugees." This claim was echoed by Kenneth Roth, executive director of Human Rights Watch, on Twitter

Article on the Houthi and Saudi Arabia. Relevant, because it talks about the Saudis flooding their Shi'a areas with Wahabi Mosques.

Some other shit I didn't know, apparently the Shi'a in SW Saudi Arabia rose up in 2000 and the Saudi Military acted with their usual bravery and advanced in a different direction the moment the guns started firing.

So what? We were talking about whether the majority of refugees were Sunni or not.

The rich gulf countries are Sunni too. What is their excuse?

By the way, remember Merkel not long ago, when there were Local elections to win for CDU:

So, new tough restrictions on internal EU migrants, but welcoming arms and little to no adjudication of 800,000 refugees from the Middle East?

She also famously said in 2010 that "Multiculturalism has failed", again when elections were imminent.

"This multicultural approach, saying that we simply live side by side and live happily with each other has failed. Utterly failed," Merkel said.

Typical untrustworthy Neoliberal.

French former Minister: The Germans took our Jews and gave us Arabs

A French politician did some serious backtracking after making a regrettable comment about Germany’s absorbing hundreds of thousands of Iraqi and Syrian refugees, saying the Germans “took our Jews and gave us Arabs.”

The controversial remark was made by Patrick Devedjian, identified by European media sources as a right-wing politician who served in the governments of French Presidents Jacques Chirac and Nicolas Sarkozy.

Devedjian made the comment in response to Germany’s agreeing to take 800,000 of the refugees. He later went on social media to dismiss his words as a poor attempt at humor, the Daily Mail reported.

“My humorous jest was misplaced,” he wrote on his Twitter feed.

Any attempt to joke about Germany’s treatment of Jews is doomed to failure, but Devedjian’s “jest” reflected a growing sentiment in Europe over the failure of “multiculturalism.” The continent over the years has seen a large influx of Muslim immigrants who refuse to assimilate in their host countries.

While reporting on President Barack Obama’s critique of Europe’s treatment of Muslim immigrants earlier this year, the magazine Foreign Policy reported that “Europe has struggled with integrating its Muslim immigrants, and recent elections have pushed calls for stricter controls on Muslim immigration and more policing of their communities into the continent’s political mainstream.”

actually that is literally true, so why should he be in any trouble at all for saying it? the Germans did deport Jews from France and did accept vast numbers of Arabs. this is pure PC-shaming of someone who is simply speaking about historical facts. freedom of speech loses again.

and the events are even causal, not coincidental: Germany has guilt and shame problems about what they did in WWII and that is exactly why there has been support in Germany for their extremely generous asylum policies.

the problem is that when you get known as being extremely generous, an infinite line of needy people shows up to take advantage of it. it has to end somehow, either with the transformation of Germany into a middle eastern country and the subsequent collapse of its economy (because the strong economy of Germany is entirely due to German culture) or the eventual refusal of Germany to accept more immigrants.

Why don't these refugees stay and fight for their country?

They say 5% of Mid East Muslims are radical. Imagine knowingly importing 40,000 hard core fanatics into your borders.

because they're "soccer fags" - whining to the referee to issue a card.

Actually, it's

"Families make decision to leave safe Turkish camps and housing where they have access to food, medical care, and clothing, to march off to Europe where they can have a great life as German Welfare Recipients"

Yep. And I guarantee you if any Jew in France is on welfare, it's because they're working on their PhD in Biochemistry and will end up paying 50% tax on a big fat salary developing the next hairloss drug, paying it all back while growing the economy.

The next wonder drug could well come from a Jew, while the next massacre of innocent people will undoubtedly come from an Arab.
