Although to be fair most religions have condoned - indeed directly committed murder for people who engage in gay sex. So your morality is par for the course.

And to the surprise of no one, she and her current husband (who is not the father of her kids) are registering as Republicans, specifically so they can have the power to impose their religious strictures on others through force of law. Larry Craig, Jerry Sandusky, Dennis Hastert, Florida Rep. Foley, Ted Haggard, George Rekers, and others are not the exceptions: they are part of a pattern, wherein closet cases and their scared wives account for half the Republican primary voters and probably a substantial share of religious fundamentalists worldwide. These religions spread by reproduction, violence, and lies, not persuasion; so, Forthood can continue lying all day long and expect his omnipotent ego extension to reward him for that.

I wonder if as a child, Forthood got jealous when the priest he was blowing dumped him for a prettier altar boy instead. Scorned and angry, Forthood left Catholicism for a more hateful denomination, and thus ignores the example of the Pope.
