There you have it. The full story. CIC chickenshitted out of meeting up. At no time did he give any evidence that he himself actually was in Florida because doing so would require giving up his anonymity and there is no way he would do that. Of course, that's also why he would never show up.

I'd ban you from every thread if I could. I have no problem reading your inane postings or letting you read mine. But until @Patrick implements a "ban" feature that just bans a troll from a user's threads as I have requested, I stuck using ignore for that function. You mean when you click "latest comment" from the home page or some other list of threads? There is the possibility that the person who wrote the latest comment is ignoring you, in which case you will in fact just see the Original Post.

Pepe's got me thinking. It's just so much fun to drive easily triggered fools to insanity (any beyond!) by calmly saying or implying something just over the edge of PC-acceptability.
What are the ingredients for world-class trolling? How can I make patrick.net a center for exchange of knowledge in this delicious technique and technology?
A few thoughts:
* The trolling has to be done with an entirely straight face. The victim has to think you're serious.
* The remark has to be somewhat ambiguous, so that you have plausible deniability and can claim the victim simply misunderstood.
* The victim must respond far out of proportion, nicely illustrating their hyper-sensitive intolerant neuroticism.
Hugh Mungus was clearly an expert.
