A rare breed. A professor who is giving up blow jobs in exchange for high grades.
This is why they graduate from high school without learning to read or write.
That idiot Professor should get the boot.
If the instructor hasn't worked in the specific field being taught the students will fail. Online courses will get you nowhere,
I actually think this is an unusual yet highly intelligent and appropriate response to the "special snowflake" issue. The professor is putting the responsibility of motivation, learning, and participating squarely in the lap of the snowflakes. Basically he is saying "You want it your way? You are going to complain about your group project, test scores and grades? Fine, then it is all up to you in how much you want to get out of this class. I will provide the information and setting for you to learn, but only you have control over how much you get out of this class. If you want an "A" grade for an "F" level effort, then that is your choice." Once out in the "real world", those that want something for nothing will get a rude awakening.
I don't blame the professor. College is optional and ultimately, no student has to be there that doesn't want to be challenged to learn.
The other issue is the professor's job security. I know of university lecturers (gen X) whose biggest job threat are the parents (Boomers) of the student snowflakes (millennials) unhappy with their children's grades.
