“In the past, for reasons I try to explain, I’ve often felt I had to be careful in public, like I was up on a wire without a net. Now I’m letting my guard down.” —Hillary Rodham Clinton, from the introduction of What Happened

For the first time, Hillary Rodham Clinton reveals what she was thinking and feeling during one of the most controversial and unpredictable presidential elections in history. Now free from the constraints of running, Hillary takes you inside the intense personal experience of becoming the first woman nominated for president by a major party in an election marked by rage, sexism, exhilarating highs and infuriating lows, stranger-than-fiction twists, Russian interference, and an opponent who broke all the rules. This is her most personal memoir yet.

In these pages, she describes what it was like to run against Donald Trump, the mistakes she made, how she has coped with a shocking and devastating loss, and how she found the strength to pick herself back up afterward. With humor and candor, she tells readers what it took to get back on her feet—the rituals, relationships, and reading that got her through, and what the experience has taught her about life. She speaks about the challenges of being a strong woman in the public eye, the criticism over her voice, age, and appearance, and the double standard confronting women in politics.

She lays out how the 2016 election was marked by an unprecedented assault on our democracy by a foreign adversary. By analyzing the evidence and connecting the dots, Hillary shows just how dangerous the forces are that shaped the outcome, and why Americans need to understand them to protect our values and our democracy in the future.

The election of 2016 was unprecedented and historic. What Happened is the story of that campaign and its aftermath—both a deeply intimate account and a cautionary tale for the nation.

Provide the reference that supports this assertion.

You need a reference that supports the assertion that many people said that clinton deserved to be the predident because she won the popular vote? Hell, it was all over the MSM.....mainly hollywood types.

Your statement is too vague to be meaningful or important. What constitutes many? A hundred? Ten thousand? Ten million?

Many people say that they like the taste of poop. That doesn't make them even a measurable minority.

Also, if your point is that a significant percentage of the American people think that the electoral college should be disbanded, well, that's a pretty justified belief. Are you actually defending the electoral college? Go on, justify its existence. Explain why our elections should not be decided upon the popular vote but rather a corrupt and archaic backroom deal making system. Go on.

Really, duck? You rant on with baseless accusations in what amounts to nothing more than an ad hominem attack on the President, then ask for proof that Clinton isn't an angel? That's like a stinky wino bum requesting a full china setting for his soup kitchen dinner.
Go sleep it off behind the dumpster!

Woo! I tasked the duck!
Contract disputes are common with contractors. Ask anyone who's hired one to do a home remodel, and see if they were treated fairly or even legally. Cost overruns, delayed finish dates, disappearing for weeks or months to do other jobs, and of course springing last minute extra charges are all common. I'd be pretty surprised if a businessman with as extensive holdings as Trump doesn't have quite a history of contract disputes.

Meh, I wouldn't say evil so much as vain, prideful, self-interested, and brash.
Donald Trump is the Diet Coke of evil.
Just one calorie.
Not evil enough!

That seems remarkably sexists to me.

Inlcudes chapter explaining how she was about to blow the whistle on Harvey Weinstein on Oct 6th, but, the Oct. 5 New York Times investigation by Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey unfairly cheated her out of that opportunity. Lays the fault for Harvey Weinstein squarely on Trump and cis hetro white males in red states, who clearly control Hollywood (see Beverly Hill Billys.).
