The bathroom issue is one that never should have blown up if it weren't for Sean Hannity and folks like yourself that think they can get the base all worked up about those freaky left wingers, over such a non issue, as giving those small number of trans folks a public restroom.

Giving the transgenders their own bathroom is the first solution thought of by right, middle, and even some left. Problem is, the separate bathroom is not acceptable to the transgender and many left wing. In near to me Gloucester County VA, we had just such a case where the she-to-he did not accept the special separate bathroom accommodations made, and instead sued to use the boy's bathroom. ACLU joined in and the County had an expensive lawsuit that went all the way to the VA Supreme Court. The case only proceeded that far based on Obama's policies, but the court kicked it back down when Trump rescinded the Obama policy:

In Grimm’s case, a panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit had deferred to guidance issued by the Obama administration and overruled the Gloucester County School Board’s policy that students must use restrooms that correspond with their “biological sex.”

But the Trump administration last month rescinded that guidance. So the Supreme Court in a one-sentence order vacated the 4th Circuit’s opinion and sent it back for further consideration, which may require a closer look at the constitutional and legal questions.

"If Sean Hannity hadn't drawn attention to the Trans bathroom issue that we've been pushing for months , jeez! We just got Target to make all it's bathrooms Trans Friendly, then these bigots vowed to stop shopping there, stupid boycott LOL. Then NC wouldn't have passed that bigoted law requiring people to match the bathroom to their current genitalia and for us to Boycott the whole State in return!"
