Those gains, however, still fall mostly to the wealthy.
Would it be better if those gains went to the 47% who pay ZERO in federal tax NOW?
Should we send them a check for $10K for NOT being a tax payer?
we've been over this time and time again. That's $1.5T over TEN years, not ONE year.
Also, if running up the debt and deficit is such a concern NOW, where you've been the last 8 years, when Obama spent money like a drunken sailor?
NOPE, since you're a Bernie voter, if the rich don't give half of their income to others, they're just plain evil. Right?
Not MY mistake, want to try again?
Nov 30, 2017 - The Joint Committee on Taxation said Wednesday afternoon that the Senate tax bill would add $1 trillion to federal budget deficits over the next decade,

Joey/tatty, what's your definition of "over the next decade"?
I'd like to see your team putting facts and proof and links, into the conversation. Not hyperbole. All we get is emotion.
However I think this is coming, as the tax bill that was just completed is not a budget. The next budget will be hotly contested, with Republicans calling Democrats to task on their assertion that the defecit is too high, and demanding spending cuts.
And you'll find Dems have more appetite for tariffs than do Republicans as well.
I think you'll find it's not the Dems that are blocking reductions in military spending. Nor will it be Dems that are against cutting corn subsidies. And you'll find Dems have more appetite for tariffs than do Republicans as well.
Haha!!!!!!!!!!!! So cute.
Just a guess on my part as Republicans backed free trade by a 90%+ rate while Dems were under 50% in favor
Yup Trump is renegotiating NAFTA to include the core tenets of the TPP. Bernie was the candidate who campaigned strongly against the TPP. Looks like all the Republicans voters were taken for a ride
Or we could just NOT borrow $1.5T/year
want to try again?
It's adds (roughly) $1T each year
Since ONLY the "RICH" get a tax break according to the narrative of the Dems with the new tax plan, data shows that there are 143 MILLION in the 1% income ranges in the country.
Who knew Trump could push half the country into this type of wealth????
Clintons- NAFTA.
Obama/Clinton- TPP-they called it the gold standard of trade deals.
Trump-Killed TPP as soon as he took office.
Trump-renegotiating NAFTA.
Obama-whining about his legacy-not the country-enjoy .
Do you make up these numbers?

Errc, there is nothing uncivil here.
Maybe errc just wants some company over in Comment Jail. It seems to be dominated by him and HappyGilmore/Tatty/JoJoey. I wonder if there's an award for the most posts put in jail? Who would win?

Here are the winners and losers of the new tax law.
The Republican tax law just signed by President Trump benefits most American taxpayers, at least until key provisions sunset. Those gains, however, still fall mostly to the wealthy.
That’s the conclusion of a look at the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act by the Tax Policy Center.
The good news is that there aren’t many who will pay higher taxes next year — about 8.5 million, compared to the some 143 million who will get lower taxes.
