UPDATE, RELEASED! All hell is breaking loose in Washington D.C. after a four-page memo detailing extensive FISA court abuse was made available to the entire House of Representatives Thursday. The contents of the memo are so explosive, says Journalist Sara Carter, that it could lead to the removal of senior officials in the FBI and the Department of Justice and the end of Robert Mueller's special counsel investigation.

Lawmakers who have seen the memo are calling for its immediate release, while the phrases "explosive," "shocking," "troubling," and "alarming" have all been used in all sincerity. One congressman even likened the report's details to KGB activity in Russia. “It is so alarming the American people have to see this,” Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan told Fox News.

“It's troubling. It is shocking,” North Carolina Rep. Mark Meadows said. “Part of me wishes that I didn't read it because I don’t want to believe that those kinds of things could be happening in this country that I call home and love so much.”

“I believe the consequence of its release will be major changes in people currently working at the FBI and the Department of Justice,” he said, referencing DOJ officials Rod Rosenstein and Bruce Ohr.

Meanwhile, Rep. Matt Gatetz (R-FL) said not only will the release of this memo result in DOJ firing, but "people will go to jail."

Of all the recent developments in the ongoing investigation(s), this one is on the cusp of turning into a genuine happening.

Who's going to be in the cross hairs?

Yep, so don't vote Democrat, who want businesses to have unlimited cheap labor, outsource everything possible, and then not respond to years of dumping.

Sure, the NeverTrumpers and CountryClubbers. But the Republican party is transforming into a nationalist party, while the Democrats are doubling down on Corporate Globalization.

Oh snap! Looks like those “lost” text messages have been found! Any bets on whether these conveniently misplaced texts contain treasonous activity against a sitting President and our nation?
I think we are about to find out.

This special counsel thing continues to bite Democrats in the butt!

Missing FBI Text Message Have Been Located.

The missing text messages from a critical five-month period between Trump-bashing FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, who both served on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team, have been located by the Department of Justice.

In a letter sent to congressional committees, Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz said his office “succeeded in using forensic tools to recover text messages from FBI devices, including text messages between Mr. Strzok and Ms. Page that were sent or received between December 14, 2016 and May 17, 2017.”

Horowitz sent his letter confirming the discovery of texts to Senate Homeland Security Committee Chairman Ron Johnson, R-Wis., and Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, who had inquired about the messages.

“Our effort to recover any additional text messages is ongoing,” Horowitz added quoted by Fox News. “We will provide copies of the text messages that we recover from these devices to the Department so that the Department’s leadership can take any management action it deems appropriate.”

They always knew they'd get the texts, if they weren't done with recovering them when the deletion story came out.

It's a way of waking up the Normies to Deep State Malfeasance.

Looks like some of you guys better turn State's Evidence and fess up.

I'm going to laugh my ass off when this memo finally gets released and it is another big nothingburger bag of lies. Just like Nunes supposed blockbuster evidence of the Obama Administration bugging of Trump. That sure died off in a hurry.

All the Trumpcucks have worked themselves into a frenzy, but I can almost guarantee none of them will learn their lesson. They'll be just as excited with Pepe memes, Hillary memes, etc. the next time that Trump and FOX news come up with a new made up deep state story.

Don't you guys find it funny that they haven't released it yet? Why do you think that is? Perhaps the anticipation is much greater than the reality?

Anti-Trump FBI Official Identified As Leaker To WSJ, WaPo Reporter.

Newly released text messages between controversial anti-Trump FBI agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page reveal several leaks of confidential information to Wall St. Journal reporter, Devlin Barrett, who is now with the Washington Post.

Following the release of the timestamped texts by Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, Conservative Treehouse compared the timing of the messages between the agents and tied them to several instances of Barrett breaking news or confirming rumors based on "sources" within the government.

Via the Conservative Treehouse:

On October 28th, 2016 (as above), at the exact time the re-opening of the Clinton investigation hit the media news-cycle, Page and Strzok were texting. From the released messaging we see at 5:19pm Lisa Page is on the phone with “Devlin”:

Page: 5:19pm “Still on the phone with Devlin. Mike’s phone is ON FIRE.”

Strzok: 5:29pm “You might wanna tell Devlin he should turn on CNN, there’s news on.”

Page: 5:30pm “He knows. He just got handed a note.”

Strzok: 5:33pm “Ha. He asking about it now?”

Page: 5:34pm “Yeah. It was pretty funny. Coming now.”

At 5:36pm Devlin Barrett tweets:

Sources, as in Lisa Page - who Barrett was just (or still) on the phone with.

It apparently was okay to be the first leaker, so why not? Good for the Goose... Turnabout is fair play.

Grassley openly released a new batch of texts, apparently Page and the Deputy FBI Counter-Intel Director have nothing better to do all day than talk to WaPo Reporter Barrett.
111   anonymous   2018 Jan 26, 12:47pm

The FBI leak is way more serious. Nunes is a Republican, if he leaks to help is party, it may be unethical, it may be illegal, but he's ultimately doing his job as a Republican politician. There is no conflict of interest in him doing that.

The agents investigating Hillary leaking to the press in order to help the subject of their investigation is not only unethical and possibly illegal, but it also fundamentally conflicts with what their job as an FBI agent investigating someone should be. The entire Hillary investigation now is called into question. In addition, you have to ask who was responsible for appointing these agents? Was it Comey? If so was he aware of their political bias? Was he pressured from higher up (Obama admin?) to appoint them? Trump shouldn't have fired Comey because if this had come to light beforehand, Comey would have resigned... Of course it might never have come up if Comey was still there...

Anyone defending this shit is purely partisan.

"You mean the one written by the House Intelligence Committee chairman? I'm sure he just made the "questionable information" up, right?"

No I mean questionable as in ZH & company telling us this is gonna be SHOCKING or EXPLOSIVE!!!

The 2009 mortgage meltdown was EXPLOSIVE. The 1998 revelation of a semen stained blue dress was SHOCKING. Other than these, what else has truly moved the needle more than a little wiggle to qualify as "rocking Washington?"

It's now day 9 since we were told this wasn't gonna be typical insider Washington BS but something "shocking" and "explosive".

Trump Ignores DOJ Warning, Notifies Sessions He Wants FISA Memo Released.

Trump "is inclined to have that released just because it will shed light... Apparently all the rumors are that it will shed light, it will help the investigators come to a conclusion."

President Trump broke with the Department of Justice last week by calling for the release of a four-page "FISA memo" purportedly summarizing widespread surveillance abuses by the FBI, DOJ and Obama Administration, reports the Washington Post.

So now the President is calling for the release of the four-page FISA memo, which will reportedly put an end to the Russia investigation while quite possibly setting the stage for the criminal prosecution of those involved in trying to frame Trump.

That said, the Washington Post article appears to be nothing more than an exercise in pearl clutching over Trump's demands for loyalty - as the paper notes that nothing the President has done is likely to lead to criminal charges.

"The president has been clear publicly and privately that he wants absolute transparency throughout this process," Gidley said in the statement. "Based on numerous news reports, top officials at the FBI have engaged in conduct that shows show bias against President Trump and bias for Hillary Clinton.

Because it shows that the memo isn't really that "explosive or else it would have been released already. It was just another ploy to whip Trump supporters into a frenzy.

Trump has to power to release it--why hasn't he done it?
133   bob2356   2018 Jan 28, 5:55pm

Let's see how this works. There is an explosive memo that will put most of the top people in the democratic party in jail. But the republican controlled congress, which can release the memo at any time, has not released the memo but is screaming the memo needs to be released. Donald "put hillary in jail" trump, who can release the memo at any time, has zero filter between his brain and the outside world has not released the memo but is screaming the memo needs to be released. Yet after almost 2 weeks nothing has happened and the only place you can read about it is still right wing echo chambers conspiracy sites like ZH.

I know the average trumptard (luckily there are no trumptards on patnet) isn't a deep thinker, but a normal person would have to believe that something was just a little bit askew with the picture when everyone that can release the memo is screaming the memo needs to be released but doesn't release it. Even more amazing is some staffer hasn't leaked it. How is that even possible? It's not.
