The working-class struggles that propelled Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to victory
"“In a modern, moral and wealthy society, no person in America should be too poor to live,” she said on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” on Thursday night."
Build the wall, evict illegals, and institute a skilled labor immigration policy then.
The ouster of an entrenched Democrat for an extremely Leftist one is a very good sign for the opposing party. Democrats have finally painted themselves into a corner, the Leftmost corner, where they will struggle to win primaries without being super Left. And yet, an extreme candidate is unlikely to win a general election unless the district or state is very very Left leaning for some reason. This means that the forthcoming crop of Democrat candidates for office may be expected to be extremely partisan, extremely Leftist, and extremely underrepresented in Congress as a party. The Democrat party might even shrink far enough down that there is room for an Independent or otherwise third party (perhaps labor?) to emerge.
Fabricating racial tensions and controlling dissent via the threat of racism labels, then asking for power or money handouts to prove how un-racist you are has worked for decades. Trump has destroyed that system so quickly that the dems are BURSTing out w the multi decades learned behavior all at once.
