Fake News: Man kills family vis-a-vis looking up Metallica's 'Lunacy Has Found Me'

Dad Murders His Wife & Kids Then Googles Lyrics to a Metallica Song: 'Lunacy Has Found Me'

And then, the article makes a correction:"The song he Googled was “Battery,” according to local TV station KCNC. The track contains lyrics such as “Smashing through the boundaries, lunacy has found me” and “Pounding out aggression, turns into obsession/Cannot kill the battery/Cannot kill the family.” "

So one, the writer didn't bother to find out that Metallica didn't even have a song called 'Lunacy Has Found Me'.

And then, if you listen to Battery itself ...

Lashing out the action
Returning a reaction
Weak are ripped and torn away
Hypnotizing power

Crushing all that cower
Battery is here to stay
Smashing through the boundaries
Lunacy has found me
Cannot stop the battery
Pounding out aggression
Turns into obsession
Cannot kill the battery
Cannot kill the family

Battery is found in me

So the reference is sort of vague there. If anything, the only thing he got from the song was the aggression as it's clearly the most pumped up song on "Master of Puppets"

What they really wanted was 'Harvester of Sorrow' which is exactly about this subject matter. The lyrics are in the vid.

In other words, if you want to trash talk Metallica, get the story right!

Battery is a legendary song. Used to play this on my electric axe back in the days. Hook up a good marshal tube amp connected to a wall stack plus shred master, start with the acoustic Spanish style guitar prologue while holding your pick in the mouth then start thrashing like there's no tomorrow.
