Justice Ginsburg is Probably Quite ill.

First of all, I wish Justice Ginsburg well. She is a courageous advocate for women’s rights and a cultural icon. But in one reads between the lines of published reports on her situation, this woman is probably quite ill.

The most significant words from above are “two malignant nodules.” What does this mean?

Pathologists can usually determine quickly whether a nodule is benign or malignant, but in order to determine the actually type of cancer (that is the tissue source of the cancer), special preparation is required before microscopic examination. This can take several days or weeks to complete. At the time of this writing, we have no published reports stating the results of these tests – or even if they were ever done.

But since there were “two malignant nodules,” the odds are is that this is Stage IV or metastatic cancer – meaning that it has spread to the lungs from another organ system.

But in my medical opinion, the doctors and the media who have commented on her health are underestimating the severity of her illness.

Wow.
Thanks Mr. magic.

And yet we have to wait for her to die even if she can't do her job much less get out of bed. She hasn't been able to hold her head up for years.

This is true, she must be really in bad shape.

Very, very close... even if she's recovering from the broken ribs and surgery, if she can read and view transcripts at home (so they say), she should be well enough to be rolled in on a wheelchair and sit at the bench. It's not like they're asking her to split wood when she gets there. All she has to do in court is sit, listen and ask questions. But, she's a no-show... and there's been no official update on her condition, either from the Court or her handlers.. ... WHY????

The Liberal media's perception of Trump's chances he replaces Ginsburg in the next two years is slim.

I put it at 85% at least. They said 30% they claim if he gets elected for a second term it would be 80%. I put that at 100%.

I would put it at 100% that he replaces her in the next two years. But who knows they may keep her alive in a Coma induced vegetative state for two years.

I don't think She will step down until she dies, and I don't think the left will allow a replacement until she does die. Even if she does wind up in a coma for 3 or more years.

They are keeping her alive playing tapes: "The pleadings have reached five metric tons! The legal fees have hit a hundred million! You can make an arbitrary decision, now, as long as it is deluded LibbyFuck jargon cloaked in legalese!"

Do you remember two days before they carved out half her lung, she stated she was fine?

Justice Ginsburg Told Audience Her Health Was ‘Fine’ Days Before Cancer Operation.

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said she was in good health during a public appearance in New York City Saturday, just days before she had surgery for lung cancer at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

NPR’s Nina Totenberg interviewed Ginsburg at the Museum of the City of New York on Dec. 15, where she asked the 85-year-old justice about her health.

“It’s fine, thank you,” Ginsburg replied. She went on to say that she had resumed her vaunted fitness regiment with her personal trainer after fracturing three ribs in a November fall at her chambers in the Supreme Court.

Less than a week later, doctors in New York removed two cancerous nodules from her left lung.

I tried a website to calculate the life expectancy of an 85 year old widow with cancer, but the site scammed me into entering the data and then demanded an email address.

Let me know if anyone else comes up with the number. My guess is about 2 years, which does make things interesting politically.

I doubt you can calculate that, there are too many variables with cancer, location, and other issues. My wife works in Oncology and has decades of medical experience, and everything she's read (and between the lines), she thinks 3 - 6 months at best.

The average life expectancy for her generation was high 70s, so she's in extra innings, NOT counting these health issues.

Ginsburg was seen in a wheelchair the other day. If she was doing well, she would be ambulatory 3 weeks post Op.

Yes, two nodules is bad news. Especially since she's already had other growths (rectal and pancreatic) removed in the past few years.

Thoracic surgery is rough on anybody, at 86 (this coming March) it's rough.

I'd rather not give a link to a scammer site because it helps promote them. I'll look for a different life expectancy calculator.

She broke the ribs over 2 MONTHS ago. If she needs a wheelchair because of broken ribs NOW, should she really be ruling on important legal cases?

Abortion ( as long as it is not late term) allows women to control if she wants to bring a child to this world. Maybe she is a teen mother, maybe she was molested or maybe she is just not ready.

Furthermore, there are credible scientific studies showing that allowing abortion drastically decreases crime rates 15 yrs down the line.
59   Shaman   2019 Jan 14, 9:16am

You’re just saying that because abortion clinics have targeted black mothers as highest priority. Why do you hate black babies, Tim?

Agreed.

No God will help the side where priests are allowed to molest or where people are allowed to kill in the name of religion (Islamic terrorists) Snide remark aside, God is unique to everyone and you do not have a trademark on God. Abortion ( as long as it is not late term) allows women to control if she wants to bring a child to this world. Maybe she is a teen mother, maybe she was molested or maybe she is just not ready. You are no one to tell me which God to believe and it does not have anything to do with OP's question..

And Libertarians do not want to limit immigration at all.........

From the Libertarian Party platform: "Economic freedom demands the unrestricted movement of human as well as financial capital across national borders."

Looks like Ruthie is too busy hitting the gym with her personal trainer and working out, not able to take the time to do a few interviews:

Washington (CNN)Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg will not attend scheduled talks in the upcoming weeks in Los Angeles and New York, following her surgery in December, after she missed Supreme Court arguments earlier this month, the event hosts said.

The 85-year-old justice was supposed to attend an event on January 29 at Los Angeles' Skirball Cultural Center. A long-planned conversation between Ginsburg and the financier and philanthropist David Rubenstein was scheduled for February 6, and the 92nd Street Y said Wednesday that it was working to reschedule the event.

"Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg regrets that she is unable to attend the talk with David Rubenstein at 92Y on February 6," an email from the 92nd Street Y said. "She is curtailing travel and focusing on her work while recuperating from recent surgery."
