At high school after practice in the rain we were decided to do 'slip and slide' on the field before heading in. It worked great we were all sliding like 20ft or more. After a slide I stood up and had a hypodermic syringe stock straight through the palm of my hand. I walked around school freaking people out for a while before I pulled it out.
Fortunately it was pretty old. I had to get tetanus shots once and hepatitis shots more than once. I think maybe only twice. A suburb in San Antonio 1986.
I can't imagine what kids in SF/Portland/Seattle are going through these days.
Stop the giveaway of free needles, mostly plastic. Great for sanitation and to reduce plastic consumption.
