I'm going to disagree guys. I appreciate the feedback, but the woman was purposefully trying to hit the kids. This is not an exaggeration. This wasn't driving down the right side of the road. the kids were an annoyance to her. I admitted everything to the cop. Everything is out in the open already. Deleting this will make zero difference. No one can dox me either with my account here.
My father was an attorney and my sister is. I actually plan to sue her civilly. Not joking hence why I talked with the Sheriff this morning. I threw something at her in defense of my kids. You had to be there. It was a dangerous situation. She likely needed information for insurance, hence a police report on her end. She ain't got shit, like nothing on me. Trust me.
I will get mine on this one guys, trust me. IL is lame, but she has no legal legs to stand on after attempting to hit children with a vehicle and 5-6 adult witnesses and 5 children witnesses. I DIDN'T receive a police report. So as of now I have nothing to do with it technically. I was just honest with the cop and he was cool. I already admitted damaging her car. Water under the bridge at this point.
It was a really good throw though.

I had no interaction personally outside of chucking the can from 30+ feet away. Only the other neighbors got close enough to see here or try to communicate. A hispanic, Puerto Rican and a few other whites. Basically a diverse crowd. No clue of race until after the fact and I wouldn't care either way. I have a black nephew that will be with us until 18 for sure. It was pure emotion and fear for my kids and other children playing in the street.
It's not really a thru street so minimal traffic and short distance between stop signs. No reason to be driving on the wrong side of the road at 40mph in a 25. It was dusk, but you could clearly see the kids. Either way, it's 6 adults roughly against 1 person breaking the law.
With regards to insurance, I'm being a bit hyperbolic as I didn't see it, but the whole panel might need replacement. I'm not joking when I say I can throw hard. I was an all state athlete and did D-1 track in college. Remember, it was unopened. A roughly one pound projectile coming at minimum 60mph is going to be more than just a ding.
Either way the cop didn't put me in cuffs, so he didn't feel it was wrong after talking with all the witnesses. Only negative thing he said was that you don't know if they have a gun or something and that could have gone south. I'd agree. Anger and emotions can be tough though with kids involved. We're talking a national news story if she ran them all down, let's put it that way.
We're also talking a small residential street out in the cornfields.

Should have pulled her out of the car and let the women beat her ass. I'd see about filing charges, a car can be defined as a weapon in court. Too bad you didn't shatter her window.
She makes her delivery to another neighbor (we don't know), we were already yelling at her and the one neighbor had the cops on the phone already. She then rips out of the driveway almost hitting the kids again. One neighbor stands in the middle of the street. She stops, 5 second convo and starts to peel out.
Now the fun starts. My anger got to me and I had a full unopened beer. I'm not as spry as I used to be but I can still chuck a baseball close to 80-85mph. I chuck the beer and nail the side of the bitches car. My info was taken and I admitted to what I did as I didn't care, she was close to killing kids. She's lucky I didn't have a gun.
So I email the Sheriff this morning and they have a report but I have to fucking FOIA my own police report as the cop didn't give me one. First run in with the law in 20 years, but I've got witnesses, dozen roughly, to what happened. I don't think the bitch is going to pursue anything though if she's smart.
