"Since my 2008 campaign for the presidency I have often been asked, “How would a constitutionalist president go about dismantling the welfare-warfare state and restoring a constitutional republic?” This is a very important question, because without a clear road map and set of priorities, such a president runs the risk of having his pro-freedom agenda stymied by the various vested interests that benefit from big government."

"The classroom is not the only place the federal government does not belong." in reference to No Child Left Behind.

Ron Paul says "Yes we can!"

Maybe you guys will get more than 0.4% of the vote next time if you run Palin instead of some cranky old white guy.

Palin is a neocon not a libertarian. But just vote democrat troy and big brother will take care of you.

BTW nice ad hominem on the good doctor. I've met him and he is old and white, but most certainly not cranky. In fact he is about as nice a guy as you will ever meet. But nice ad hominem anyway Troy.

I was mainly talking about Barr, LOL.

Note, ad hominem doesn't really mean what you think it means.

Also, Palin was invited to keynote Teabagger Convention so denying her just makes you look stupid. HTH.

The article was written by Ron Paul. You can have Bob Barr.

Palin and the Neocons are trying to hijack the freedom movement. You watch too much mainstream Media if you think Ron Paul and Sarah Palin are part of the same movement. mainstream media WILL make you sound stupid, but nice try, AGAIN. You can have sarah palin too, she has nothing to do with the freedom movement and everything to do with the neocons plans to put down the growing popularity of freedom over big government. She is just George Bush in high heels.

Being a "left" libertarian you have more in common with Ron Paul than perhaps any other politician on the national scene.

Other than Jerry Brown. Does he count as "national" still? I liked Howard Dean, too, and the independent senator from VT, what's his face.

Ron Paul is waaay to religious to float my secular libertarian boat. This nation tried religious communities, and they always go to shit.

I don't recall Ron Paul promoting religion... ever?

You must be joking. Google it.

Paul isn't nearly as "bad religious" (that is, people who believe something and want to push it on everyone else) as most of the mainstream GOP though. He has fairly rational views on major issues like abortion or homosexuality that the nutjob "bad religious" people hate, for instance (http://www.theamericanview.com/index.php?id=916).

Of course, he does publish bullshit like:
