This looks like the next Hamilton Park home for sale sale. This is only the second sale I have seen in this area. THis one is bigger than the one that sold in mid August 2010, 501 Sandlewood. Sandlewood sold for 530 having previously sold after it was built for something in the 720,000 range. I was hoping to see it sneak below 500, but it didn't.

This one is listed as just a little lower than the 2007 sales price of 850. That seems a little optimistic. Up for an ambitious price of 799,000

Bluegreen1, I gather from another thread that you are coming from TX. A couple things to know. The school districts here are not contiguous with city lines. So, Menlo Park Elem (which is very good) may or may not cover all of Menlo Park. I'm more familiar with Santa Clara County but the same applies elsewhere in CA. So be sure to check the schools if you care.
Also, in most cases, the elem and HS districts are separate. You can figure out where kids living here would go to HS, then check out that HS's suitability.

$530k for a decent house in Menlo Park is really cheap. So there must be something else going on. One of the other threads had a comment about it being on the wrong side of 101, which looks like that's the case. This is close to East Palo Alto which has a pretty high crime rate.

Hey, thanks for your suggestions. It is east of 101. I will look really carefully at schools. My hope has been that Belle Haven would be much, much safer than EPA. That may be a bit too optimistic on my part. Thanks for the info
