So any recommends on best text messaging app? I'd like it to be as seamless and simple as possible to communicate with international recipients, or to use when travelling internationally. Via WiFi of course, don't like getting raped with roaming charges. I have an iPhone. I read about WhatsApp but seems tons of security issues with that one.

the best is the app where everyone is on. It's all the same.

Whatsapp and if you are on Iphone, Ichat.

How much security do you need when I presume the messages are how are you?, what's going on? this is interesting.

Besides, its free to download, so just try everything.

Well my concern with Whatsapp is it uploads your entire address book to their servers. This is convenient for the needs of the app, but invasive IMO.

It's a method for them to collect valid email addresses/phone numbers to sell to marketers....download that shit and expect you and your contacts to be bombarded.
