Sorry, boss, for a dumb question here. But I am looking at the real numbers (the market cap M USD). What does that mean? The numbers do not increase consistently, so I'm curious if it is tied into market share, stock value, etc...?

It's market cap, I'd guess, so stock price times outstanding shares. As you can see near the top of the dotcom boom in 1999, Microsoft and Cisco's shares were flying sky high. LU, where are you now? AOL's market cap now is probably 5% of the number on that 1999 chart.

Ok, that makes sense then. Not specifically revenue or size. It does seem the numbers closely follow the stock market.

Looks like QE's. Japan may of been the 1st to try it in the 80's.
And their companies appear to have been Quantitatively Eased into oblivion. America's future is bright because it's different this time.
