When Donna Arthur-Rosa and her husband Chris found out they were expecting their first child, the couple knew it was time to give up their one-bedroom apartment in San Francisco’s Noe Valley neighborhood. They didn't expect that their search for a bigger living space would  end nearly 30 miles from the city they called home for over 18 years.

Oh crap. Here we go again. Another boom follows by a bust.

Excellent, they left the rent controlled apartment! The market prevails.

We need more housing units. Policies like rent control can only hurt.

We have the same problem, but stayed in the one bedroom. Baby crib in living room, no privacy, wall mounted shelves everywhere to create storage, and wondering how we can welcome a second baby in the same space. We refuse to spend out life commuting and lose out on precious time with family. Though on the other hand we often want to kill each other. Good times!
