Trump tweets that the fake news are reporting that repeal and replace is dead. They don't know the love and strength in the R party. I wonder what happened behind the 9th hole. Undoubtedly, it was an expression of love, but we don't yet know if it dare speak it's name.

So now Trump's blaming calling the media fake for taking him at his word that he was moving on with his agenda. I guess the Freedom caucus called his bluff. Next on this American President...

Will the Freedom Caucus get what they want? Will Trump whip them into shape? Or will there be another public cat fight with lots of public blame and shame? Will we ever get to hear just how much love there is in the Republican party?

None of the above.
You mistake trump's "word" as a "firm position", instead of what it actually is, a "dynamic negotiation position".
Libbies still suffering from TDS see the president as a politician, instead of a negotiator, the job he was hired to execute...
It gets confusing, but keep this in mind when you parse his statements...

No, I realized over a year ago that Trump's word was not a firm position. It represents what he thinks will benefit him at that point in time. Everybody knows this. That's why his threats didn't work when he was trying to bully TrumpCare through congress. He threatened to prevent the Freedom Caucus people from getting reelected. Two weeks later, he's taking Freedom Caucus #1 to play golf and talking about their great love. He also threatened to move along to the next thing on the agenda if they didn't pass it like he wanted it. Both threats failed, because nobody takes Trump literally. It's hard to know if they take him seriously, but it's certainly clear that they don't take his words seriously.

The media doesn't take what he says literally either. It's not a TDS thing. It's a reality thing. If you see someone as a bullshitter pushing out initial positions in some negotiation, then the only logical thing to do is analyze his motives. That is exactly what the press is doing. At the same time, they are discussing the repercussions of having a President who can't be taken literally.

boy Pres: Wolf! Wolf! Wolf!

see the president as a politician, instead of a negotiator,

Liberals see the President as incompetent, unwilling to learn, and eager to use his office to enrich himself and his friends. They also see him as a bit of a stooge, ripe for being manipulated by others who want to push their agenda. He is what he is: a business guy with a sales skill-set / celebrity turned politician.
