Two well-informed observers of the situation have recently joined in the discussion, Robert Parry of Consortiumnews and former CIA senior analyst Ray McGovern of the Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity. McGovern has noted, as have I, that there is one individual who has been curiously absent from the list of former officials who have been called in to testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee. That is ex-CIA Director John Brennan, who many have long considered an extreme Obama/Hillary Clinton loyalist long rumored to be at the center of the information damaging to Team Trump sent to Washington by friendly intelligence services, including the British.

Ray suggests that Brennan and also Comey may been at the center of a “Deep State” combined CIA-NSA-FBI cabal working to discredit the Trump candidacy and delegitimize his presidency. Brennan in particular was uniquely well placed to fabricate the Russian hacker narrative that has been fully embraced by Congress and the media even though no actual evidence supporting that claim has yet been produced.

Fucking White Male says

If the MSM would shut up for a bit with the fake anonymous sources, the country might right itself a bit.

As long as Fox News and conservative media is spitting out false information on everything from Benghazi to climate change, a partisan counterpoint is needed. We can all go to neutral PBS when the propaganda machine is no longer working.

You think that's bad? Remember how Fox News reported Obama's first day in office?

Black man enters the White House claiming to be president. No comment on the incident from the Secret Service. However, sources tell us that the entire Bush family had to leave the White House because of this and there current whereabouts are unknown. Attempts to remove the black man from the White House have been unsuccessful.

It's too much to remember. I'm sure you forgot about a few of the things on the list above already. The barrage grinds us all down.

NOPE. Sorry, the WaPo itself reported "a number of arrests"...

... and local NY/NJ Stations covered the apartments close to the mosques in NJ, and the interviewed the Cops who said they remembered going to the apartment complexes "8 years ago" - during the first WTC bombing.

Those complexes were packed with Jihadi symps around a radical, Islamist Mosque.

Just a couple of blocks away from that Jersey City apartment the F.B.I. raided yesterday and had evidence removed, there is another apartment building, one that investigators told me, quote, was swarming with suspects — suspects who I’m told were cheering on the roof when they saw the planes slam into the Trade Center. Police were called to the building by neighbors and found eight men celebrating, six of them tenants in the building.

The F.B.I. and other terrorist task force agencies arrived, and the older investigators on the task force recalled that they had been to this building before, eight years ago, when the first World Trade Center attack led them to Sheik Omar Abdel-Rahman, whose Jersey City mosque lies between the two buildings getting attention today. And the older investigators remember that the suspects that eventually got convicted for the first Trade Center case … lived in the building where these same eight men were celebrating the destruction that they saw from the roof. Calling this a hot address, the task force investigators ordered everyone detained.

How much is a "swarm" or a "number"? People called into radio and TV shows all that week talking about Muslims dancing on rooftops AND in the Streets.

Not sure if I posted these before and while a lot of you don't care for Taibbi, he is and has been questioning "Russiagate"...

Yep. Greenwald and Taibbi haven't changed their stripes, they're principled people.

Yes of course there was so much substance to the Hillary scandals and they were so enormous, on fox news that is.

Behghazi is probably the worst of the three, and it's all about her speculating for a day or two about the cause before retracting her guess as to the reason for it. Meanwhile dozens of similar incidents under previous Presidents (even the huge terrorist bombing of a base in Lebanon in the Reagan years) were never blamed on a politician.

Behghazi [sic]

If you are going to insist upon writing about that place, you might at least learn about what was actually happening in that particular chapter of Hillary's War.

Also, if you are going to post comments that expose willful ignorance on your part, you might at least refrain from calling everyone else "dimbulbs", which makes you seem like a switched off bulb. In some threads, you've called "dimbulbs" some of the most intelligent commenters on PatNet, people whose IQs are likely more than 20 points higher than yours. You write like a guy who might be 5'10" and has no other way of being even slightly above average, so he calls everyone "shorty", but keeps his eyes shut so he won't see that some of the people he calls "shorty" are noticeably taller than he is. I'll give you partial credit for the time you deleted calling me a "retard", but I suspect you deleted that only because using that particular word might get you in trouble if a school administrator found it. Instead of "retard", you write "dimbulb", over and over again, like a prayer, wishing others were dumberer. You should rather consider trying to make yourself smarter. Especially if you are actually trying to teach, you might encourage people to try harder and learn more, rather than choosing ignorance and dismissing everyone who disagrees with you as "dimbulbs".

Hold on a minute while I search.

No, that doesn't sound fun at all. I'm just going to go shoot myself, instead.

wait, ok, I edited the comment to remove the part that drove you to such distraction. You have much to live for, probably plenty more wars you can support, bombing people out of their homes to spread Islam into NATO countries. Besides, Hillary's War in Libya wasn't even "hostilities": apparently, only friendly bombs were dropped, and the expansion of the non-hostilities to Syria liberated hundreds of thousands from their lives, and millions from their homes, where they only said they had been happy before Hillary's War.

Hillary used a private email server. Trump told the Russians to hack the DNC servers, told the Russians state secrets, and his cabinet met with the Russians and perjured about it. Clearly Hillary is worse.

Hillary was Secretary of State when the Benghazi attack occurred. Trump's first military operation, the Yemen raid, killed a marine and a bunch of civilians and was a complete disaster. Damn Hillary.

The Clintons gave face time to people who made large donations to their charity. Trump embezzled from the Republican campaign donors during the primary, embezzled from the government after the election, placed his family in key positions, and used his presidential power to aid his businesses. Damn Clintons!

Look, Hillary is a terrible person and we don't want her president. But if you're comparing scandals, in only 5 months of presidency and one election, Trump has ranked up more scandals and worse ones than both Clintons combined did over 25 years.

I was shocked when Hillary committed felony open broadcast of classified information, and Comey acting like an AG, essentially read his verdict on National TV. He overstepped his bounds (he works for the investigation service, not at the AGs office)

Now there is a rumor that Comeys brother is a Lawyer at DLA Piper, which about it is said that multiple work and defense of the Clintons and the Foundations were made.

How come the House Investigation hasn't called any of the very eager potential witnesses?

Delay, delay, delay. They ain't got nuthin', but they want to keep the rumors churning. Why call witnesses who will shoot down their Evidence-Free narrative?

150   joeyjojojunior   2017 May 31, 11:25am

We'll see. The rumor is that Comey is testifying next Wednesday.

The appointment of a special counsel certainly impacted the Congressional investigations.
