This is actually a clear assault by the cop, but nobody cares much since it happened to a White nurse in Utah.
Still what probable cause do the cops have? He was in a vehicular accident after we forced an escaping driver into you head on?
Bullshit, every cop involved should be thrown in jail for at least 20 years. Every one of them is a criminal who committed assault, false arrest, and conspiracy. One could even consider this a terrorist attack as they were clearly trying to terrorize this woman.
Why didn't a good guy with a gun point the gun at the cops and place them under citizen arrest, shooting the cops if they resisted?
When Torres hit the truck, the only thing on the cops' minds was their pensions and diversion of liability of the crash to the truck driver that was nearly killed and will crippled for life by their decision to entertain themselves with a high speed car chase.
In the time framed by that impact and the delivery of Gray to the hospital, the cops called each other on their own cell phones or possibly on unlisted pre-pay burner phones they keep for these kinds of occasions, and decided the only course left to them was to prove Gray was an impaired reckless driver who set himself up to be hit by Torres by his obviously degraded physical condition, subject to the deranging effect of dope, alcohol, aspirin, McDonald's french fries, Wrigley's Spearmint gum, or anything else they could detect (or confect) as present in his bloodstream.

She tells him that blood can only be drawn if the patient is conscious and gives consent or is under arrest. Otherwise, she tells Payne she needs to see a warrant, citing a 2016 U.S. Supreme Court ruling.
So this is law in all states not just Utah.
And the Major is pissed off. They need the book thrown at them.

Hyperbole that you probably don't believe yourself. There are a few bad apples and they need to be punished accordingly like anybody else. Nobody should be above the law.
